Robert2 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Awesome riding conditions today. Surface was very fast under blue skies and sunshine. 38 degrees at noon made for bare skin and sunscreen today. JADIP at JF Quote
AngryHugo Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Sounds like a great day to be out! No hardpack on a day like this. If you dressed like an astronaut, it'd have to be one on a mission to Mercury. Quote

JADIP at JF This weather is evil though I havn't been to frost, I was at Camelback and it's been beautiful as you described until about 4:45-5:30 comes around and the sun is no more and the temp drops slightly more. The surface turns to what seems like someone dumping massive amounts of granulated sugar over rough crunchy ice unfortunately. Damn this weather I'm not ready for spring conditions yet! How has boulder been at night since they don't open until 3? Edited February 10, 2009 by DiMeThIcOnE Quote
dw2430 Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 boulder had that snowthat you just described tonight. pretty hard. every rail/box in freedom sticky as shit. not good Quote
Robert2 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 How was Floyds??? Bumps, groomed, blue ice??? Floyds had about 16 inches of fresh blown powder on it. You should get right on that stuff and quick. Quote
DiMe Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Whats wrong with Floyd? I remember it being a pretty fun trail to jump into last year if its the one I remember. Just a steep drop thats at an angle facing a river? Quote
bigdaddyk Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 (edited) How was Floyds??? Bumps, groomed, blue ice??? Groomed No hardpack on a day like this. Frozen cord, first thing. I actually would have rather gone out at 10, instead of 9, because it didn't start to break up until around 10:30. Floyds had about 16 inches of fresh blown powder on it. I actually noticed over the last few days that they have started putting the hoses away on trails like thunderbolt and over on east mt. Looks like snow making might be done. Although, things should stay pretty good, barring any rainy warm spells. Edited February 10, 2009 by bigdaddyk Quote

Everybody knows I lap the blues daily for 3 hours and NEVER go to floyds so GSS is just being a dick asking how was Floyds every day. So ... How was floyds .... will ALWAYS get answered : 16 inches of powder..... just for GSS. Quote
