just got this email:

Hey all you snow lovers! You couldn't ask for a better winter!

JFBB is continuing our commitment to snowmaking and providing first rate conditions so we have decided to make snow when the temperatures permit later this week to get both mountains back in prime condition for the upcoming holiday weekend and Energy Conservation Week. The weekend forecast is looking good and with the snowmaking you couldn't ask for better. There is a lot going on this weekend so be sure to check out the calendar of events.

i'm glad places are still going to be blowing snow after this warm spell instead of just giving up. Blue is going to be blowing this weekend, and i heard Bear was going to as well if the temps allow.

Thunderbolt is listed as one of the trails that they are going to blow on, but all of the hoses are still put away, for those guns :confused .

They will get them out. I am just guessing, but I think they will use only SMI ground guns on T-Bolt. New power outlets were installed on T-Bolt and other locations for just this purpose. It will take the JF snow crew no time to set things up.

I was actually wondering about that. I saw the one portable on rivershot, today. I noticed the new outlets throughout the area at the beginning of the year (t-bolt, exhibition, etc). Weird how you pick up on things like that. I would assume that the fans would be more cost effective, at this point.
