Johnny Law Posted February 19, 2009 Author Report Posted February 19, 2009 where you heading? and when? Plan was knob Sunday to ski some trees but I guess that isn't going to happen. I don't need alot but 6" of base is kind of necessary. Wow I didn't realize they got hit that hard. Quote

Johnny Law Posted February 20, 2009 Author Report Posted February 20, 2009 If your going out to the Knob just for some trees, why not head north where they have snow and its only like an hour ride more? Blue Knob has better glades and trees than Hunter/Windham and is 40 mins closer to my house. Hunter/Windham also break my A hole rule, as there are way too many. Plattekill is probably the best mtn in that area but its nearly 5 hours door to door. Bell isn't a bad mtn. but they groom the crap out of everything. Greek is an option. The knob is 3 hours from my house and when they have snow they can have the best tree skiing south of Plattekill. Quote
Schif Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 We just got 2 inches here, nice soft fluffy stuff. Temps are looking good for it sticking around and maybe adding to it too. Quote
Helmet959 Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 According to Blue Knob's website they got 6-8 inches last night, and it's still snowing today and tomorrow. And supposedly they're blowing snow too in "key places". Whatever that means. I'm going all day on Saturday. As long as High Hopes and Stemboggan are open I'll be happy. DAvid Quote
Tyler Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 got 4 or 5 inches out here overnight Quote
