Bluebird Day Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 What's up with this ski patrol crew at Blue on the weekend? Are these guy there to do first aid or be cops???? Seems like the later to me. They see a good skier that makes nice controlled carved turns and is up on edge and they are blowing the whistle and yelling for them to slow down. Maybe if they got out skiing instead of standing around yelling and blowing their whistle on the slopes they could improve their skiing skills and not be so jealous. I never see this behavior at other mountains. I ski a lot mid week at Jack Frost and those patrollers there are all friendly. The mid week patrollers at Blue aren't a problem either. So what's with the attitude of Blue Mt weekend ski patrol? Quote
toast21602 Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 yeah its a weekend thing for sure. although, i have gotten whistled at twice this year for skiing switch down paradise and lazy midweek. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Several people I was skiing with today kept calling them police. Concussion Ted was running radar today, but my detector went off before I rounded the turn. I just killed him with kindness Quote

AtomicSkier Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 you carry a radar detector on you when you ski? It was a joke....as was the comment about Ted running RADAR. Quote
Margaritaville Skier Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Strange, usually this topic is about a different area. Do you think the TV exposure went to their heads? Quote

If anything that joke of a show should have knocked them down a few pegs. Edited February 23, 2009 by trimreaper Quote
Dan- Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 i don't think the show has made them any worse. They've always been on a power trip. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 This year has just been excessive. I really think Blue Mountain Ski Police should carry TASERs. That way, when loud mouth fast skiers who try to felony evade the police can be stopped before they escape and cause any more problems. "Press hard, 4 copies" Quote
toast21602 Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 yeah its a weekend thing for sure. although, i have gotten whistled at twice this year for skiing switch down paradise and lazy midweek. i lied. all 3 incidents that i had happened midweek. all of them on wednesdays. i think its the wednesday and weekend patrollers that are killing me. haha.
