RidgeRacer
Hi Guys- I have been reading your posts about the Elevator. This summer we will clear the area of all brush and will make it "skiable" for next season. It will not be a named trail or groomed, but it will be a lot of fun. It does get a whole lot of overspray from the fan guns on River Shot, so it does become "skiable" pretty quick and will stay that way for much of the season. Thanks for the enthusiasm for Jack Frost, and I'll see you on the slopes! Jesse Boyd President Jack Frost and Big Boulder Resorts I thought this deserves it's own thread. I can't wait for next season! Special thanks to Phillycore for starting the Petition thread.

phillycore
Don't thank me... it's what we all wanted and we really need to thank JFBB for their continued support to their core customer base... Nothing is going to make skiers and riders coming back like good customer service.. JFBB management and peak resorts have really stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park... That's who deserves the thanks!!! Major props...

bigdaddyk
Awesome I'm gonna hit dat!!!!! We'll have to do a PASR day when the Elevator is officially open.. It will probably never "officially" open, kind of like Mark's way. If there's snow on it, you gotta go on it. Glenn
Is that little rock drop chute thing at the bottom of the East side still open? Risk it, or drop in or something?

jordan
little cliff huck and no they haven't blown snow on it this year... Little Cliff Huck ≠ Risk It risk it is the cliff drop on the skier's right of floyds
GolfingOwl
This is why Jack Frost is one of my favorite PA mountains despite it's limited terrain and vert. They get the most out of their limited terrain with great snowmaking, and a liberal tree policy. Just another example of how they put skiers first. Now all they need is a bump run (or half a run). RidgeRacer
Is that little rock drop chute thing at the bottom of the East side still open? Risk it, or drop in or something? The Elevator is the steep slope in between River Shot and Floyd's. Little Cliff Huck ≠ Risk It risk it is the cliff drop on the skier's right of floyds I'm not into hucking things but Risk it is the only trail that I can remember having to "work up my nerve" to ski in PA in a long time. Glenn
I'm talking about a little guy on the left of the run out for east side just before the lift. Little cliff huck sounds about right.

Yea, that's cliff huck. They didn't blow snow on it the last couple years. I liked hitting that on the way back to the lift. I miss it...it was something different. GolfingOwl
Skiers Left on exhibition is bumpsSkiers Right on Challenge is bumps Have only been there once this year and there were no bumps. And the times I've been there the last couple years, no bumps. If this is a change, great. Maybe I've just been there at the wrong times. Other mountains seem to have trails that are consistent bump trails like Tunkhannock at Elk.
bigdaddyk
... consistent bump trails like Tunkhannock at Elk. Wise move for that trail. I have a feeling there would be a lot of collisions, if it was groomed, due to tioga cutting across.
