Saurus Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 december 16th 2010, epic day. 2 feet of fresh powder. The circus rails that floated were set up sweet. And the foam pit is amazing Quote
snowboarddude Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 any chance of bmx jumps or skatepark this summer? maybe a small snowflex boarding/skiing setup? Quote
Saurus Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 any chance of bmx jumps or skatepark this summer? maybe a small snowflex boarding/skiing setup? Bear doesnt care about us so I highly doubt it Quote
burton71 Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 any chance of bmx jumps or skatepark this summer? maybe a small snowflex boarding/skiing setup? Why would they? There isn't much money in either and it could possibly interfere with other summer activities at the mountain. Quote
snowboarddude Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) here is my idea... left side is park right side is for the "5 star resort" the carpet is made a double and snowtubing is moved, the left side can be the new beginner park with little hits and boxes/rails right would stay big hit but now that a drop in can be built i should be named MONSTER HIT:) hahaha kodiak can be redone with a nice slope for a jumpline with the bottom cut in half for the other part of the mtn and park A B C chairs could only be for park passes Edit: i almost forgot a parklodge could be build for people with park passes BCIW should be incharge of every decission in the park half"open/close hikepark/no hikepark blowsnow/don't blow" the other half could then be mannaged by the mannagement that is already there Edited March 24, 2009 by sanchezzz Quote

Saurus Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 you have your park lodge, im sure as hell fine with having one of the nicest lodges ive ever stepped foot in being my home lodge. And the only way they could put snowtubing there is if they drilled the shit out of that side cause its too steep. Quote
snowboarddude Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 that was mostly a joke.. i was just really bored since i cant board but i wouldn't mind having a kodiak jumpline or park passes Quote
boardin_nerd Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Kodiak would make a sick jumpline... Quote
EAZY-Emuntz Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Moving the park to kodiak would be so much better, but we all know it won't happen. they should extend black bear park farther up. Cut that trail in half and make half of it park. Longer park=better park Quote
snowboarddude Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 i think the problem is slope.. the jumps arnt that big and it is still hard to get speed.. i think there needs to be a drop in (like they had in the comp but bigger) Quote
Saurus Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 there is no problem with getting speed for the jumps anywhere at bear Quote
burton71 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 there is no problem with getting speed for the jumps anywhere at bear Sure there is, especially late season. Quote
Saurus Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 yeah its a shit ton slower at the end of the season but every jump was still hittable the last week. The last one in tubing on the last day was in the morning. Quote
k2rider2690 Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 the last jump in tubing was perfect everyday...you just had to figure out where to start from so you had the speed...same with everyone...just had to figure out how to get the speed and you were golden Quote

boardin_nerd Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 A drop in from kodiaks black diamond park could make for a huge jump... but i agree that you really dont have trouble with speed for any of the jumps at BC Quote
snowboarddude Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 true.. bears jumps are extremely sick i think i should start waxing my board next year though Quote
mollyskeez Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 that might be a good idea if your having speed issues. Quote
lil nick Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 that might be a good idea if your having speed issues. Yeah theres been lots of slow days that caused speed issues. Quote
TylerDurden Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 That would be socially abominable. Quote
