bigdaddyk Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 Well, I finally made it to Elk on Wednesday....and I loved it . The snow stayed consistant the whole day and the grooming was outstanding. There were none of the typical lumps that you normally find later in the day. The trails also were a pleasant surprise...they seemed like they never ended. I'm definately going to try to get to Elk more often. Quote

Papasteeze Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 definatly, and that's why i love Elk. Best mountain around. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I totally agree, however Steven gripes about the lack of parks so much, that he has effectively persuaded us from returning this year. Can anyone tell us what features are there this year? Quote
skidude Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I don't really recall...But it looked like a few Tabletops (not huge, not tiny)...and maybe a few rails....Didn't look like the best park, but there weren't a lot of n00bs around there either... Quote
trtaylor Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 I skied there this morning. Fantastic conditions. I wasn't first one up the mountain, but I was first one to make tracks down Kickapoo. Only turned where I had to Quote
NJSkiFamily Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 Kickapoo is a great morning trail - before everyone scrapes all the snow off. Definitely a favorite. Quote
romemadman Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 yea kickapoo is a really good trail it is fun to whip around those hair pin turns and terrain park box: has rubber tubes on the side which caused me to do a face plant flat rail up flat down (battle ship) Quote
