Stevo Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 I'm headin up to boulder tomorrow w/ some friends. Anyone going to be there? Quote
Shadows Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 ill be there with 3 others, but we all ski Quote
Schif Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 There is a slight possibility i might go up there w/ a few buddies. Quote
LineSki Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 i will be up there tomorrow with twelve153. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I just saw on their site that Boulder is closing for the season @ 5pm on Sun. March 13. Nice that they gave us a whole days notice. Quote
train36 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 (edited) Thats ridiculous, can not believe they would close so early. How will JF's park be, might be heading up there. Edited March 13, 2005 by Allian Boarder Quote
Gurp Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 its fucked up really bad. Boulder done tomarrow and jf the week after. WTF there is like a 2 ft base layer. NO RESON TO CLOSE. Jf will be sick next week cause theyre taking the bb rails voer to jf. SO it should be pretty sick. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 That is terrible, temps are suppose to stay low and there is no reason for them to close, I wanted to hit it up next weekend but guess thats not going to happen.  How is JF park because I still might be going to a friends house up there next weekend. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  I don't really do the parks, but from what I've seen, Boulder's parks appeared to be better than Frost's. Quote
bigdaddyk Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I haven't seen anything on a closing date for Frost, but I would assume that next week would be the last, since they are giving out free tickets. That won't even be worth going because it will be so damn crowded. Quote
Schif Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 This is so stupid, why is everybody closing so early? Its still below freezing most nights and they all have deep bases. Quote
tretiak Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 prlly becuz it cost alot of money to run a resort adn when u dont have people coming up becuz it gets to warm outside they decide its time to close cuz they dont wanna lose money Quote
soldier32 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 no the reason why boulder closes so early is because they have snowmobile races up there after the season and theyre always the last few weeks in march. they close the same time every year Quote
Schif Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 where do the snowmobiles race? I can't imagine it would be on all of the slopes. Quote
insomniac Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I think they race up boulder slope, but mittlweg would be more suiting. I think its Boulder though. Quote
Schif Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Then why not just close boulder, and leave the others open. Quote
insomniac Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 I don't think they're bringing in enough cash. Quote
LineSki Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 (edited) boulders park was nice today. i loved their rails, most fun rails i have ever hit. the jump park was also sexy, i loved that huge table, you just bombed from the top it was sooo much fun. also the last rail in the park was nice, once you got on it just like locked you on and rode the whole thing. all in all it was a very nice day, didn't ride many trails except for snowdrift and me and my friend would go up the little deck and stall the on the picnic tables. if you ride park you should seriously consider going up there one day. well next year at least. Â EDIT: gurp where were you today???? Edited March 13, 2005 by LineSki Quote
Stevo Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 Yeah it was perfect- sucks that they're closing early. I wish it were $10 every day Quote
tretiak Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Yeah it was perfect- sucks that they're closing early. I wish it were $10 every day <{POST_SNAPBACK}> damn i wish i would have known it was 10 bucks Quote
Stevo Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 Well, it was 20, but i got some cupon from my friend - it was like 10 dollars off for each person. Quote
LineSki Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 yeah i got the coupons at some mcdonalds in bethlehem. if they move all of big boulders rail to jf then i will go up again for skiing for free day Quote
soldier32 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 (edited) they wont move all of them, but they'll probably move a couple. last year i think they brought like 3 or 4 over Edited March 14, 2005 by NITRO_rider Quote
