AngryHugo Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I'm a lot more stoked for this season than in the past few seasons. I have a few trips planned, but my first out west (Jackson Hole). I'm going with my douchey brother-in-law, but I couldn't care if I went with Hitler and Idi Amin. I'll be at Blue again this season. I'm more of a freerider, so I really like the vert and longer runs. The BS session while waiting for first chair is always cool, along with sharing chairs with other PASR's. Can't wait to see everyone. Quote
TT C6 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I couldn't care if I went with Hitler and Idi Amin. That's exactly how I feel. As long as everyone pays there way and respects each other, I don't have to who I ride or do trips with. Quote
JFskiDan Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 "from JFBB.com... 08.26.09 | By chris "Jack Frost Mountain staff under the direction of Mark Daubert have been busy clearing out more glades, adding tower guns, replacing snowmaking pipe, and "elevator" work. Here are some teasers of what has been going on this summer. Riders this coming winter will be treated to glade expansions on Challenge and Jane's Lane. The glade on skier's right of Challenge has been extended to the East Mountain Lift. Jane's Lane has new glades also on skier's right that go to D Lift. The crews have been busy installing 18 30' tower guns on various slopes including Thunderbolt and Exhibition!" This is all good news. The challenge glade sounds like it will be sweet although it already skied down to the lift, just had some rocks and logs to look out for. Jane's glade sounds like it'll be fun too and can't wait for the Elevator." good stuff right there. and another - "Some folks can be happy skiing around alone all day at a hill in PA. I would go nuts. I need some type of 'crew' to ride with, goof off with, ride lifts with, etc..." pretty much sums it up right there....not really where you ski, but who you are skiing with. everyone has thier "home" mountain which they ski at for some good reason or another. the JF crew might be a small group, buts its a good group. good times for the short time i have known them. toast21602 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 i would love to ski with hitler Quote
RidgeRacer Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 (edited) Jack Frost - only Mt. in the area that allows and encourages tree skiing, some steep terrain, good snow most of the time, going fast and carving turns on Thunderbolt and Challenge, good folks to ski with, get to take a run before riding a lift, nice views. Elk Mt. - decent vert and sustained pitches on trails like Iroquois, and Mohawk, dedicated Bump Run, lots of great skiers there, great snow most of the time Sno Mt - The North Face, White Lightning. Blue Mt. - good lifts, razors, challenge and sidewinder are as fun as it gets in this part of ski country Camelback - good lift system, free tickets to other Mt pass holders, stays open late, Pharaoh and Cliffhanger Big Boulder - opens early and closes late Whiteface - my new favorite Mt. - ridiculous vertical, steeps, Lake Placid Edited August 27, 2009 by PA Ridge Racer Quote

I almost beat Pokemon blue version for game boy color for the 6th time so thats pretty epic also. The positive side of starting school on Monday is I'm in ninth grade now, and I get to see everyone again. Quote

TT C6 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) TTC6 didn't get banned..that's positive cause he helps keep this site active.. Post content is more important than the number of posts. Activity is meaningless if it all sucks. Edited September 14, 2009 by TT C6 Quote
