xNick11 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Any updates in the park this year for Blue? Quote
Justo8484 Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 sadly, they still have the bus. Quote
GSSucks Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 sadly, they still have the bus. But the bus makes that little step up thing onto the last landing really fun. If the park is anything like the bike park, it Quote
AngryHugo Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 RIP Crackerbarrel...I'm hoping for some tabletops/cheesewedges... freakin' starvin'.... we got any cheese and crackers around? Quote
AtomicSkier Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 I was checking out Blue's park on Tuesday...the Frisbee golf poles are going to be great to boink off of. Quote
Justin Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 I can see where this thread is going Quote
FK. Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 No really tho if we could get some legit updates. I'm itching to hear about any new setups bc it was getting sick last year and i'm hoping it gets better... Quote
girls.ride.harder Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Doesn`t anyone remember the air bag thread?!? Quote
skier89 Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 i think the air bag was bs if they had one they would have used it this summer Quote
jhartley Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 At the end of last year they announced that they got a winch cat, or groomer or whatever its called. Now I know next to nothing about grooming, but does that mean they'll be able to make jumps with long steep landings like you'd find at major resorts/big boulder? Quote
nick malozzi Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 boink You posting in a park thread is about as useful as an asshole on your elbow. Quote
TT C6 Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 You posting in a park thread is about as useful as an asshole on your elbow. Agreed. Unless you ride park, you really have no business posting in a park thread. It's makes you look like an ass and it's annoying. Quote
TT C6 Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 you mean it makes you look like a TTC6... That's funny. We're talking about a$$holes that don't ride park but post in park threads and here come Doug. What a shock. Quote

Now I know next to nothing about grooming, but does that mean they'll be able to make jumps with long steep landings like you'd find at major resorts/big boulder? in theory, yes. however, that's also entirely dependent on how much snow they can blow. to really make use of a winch cat, they're have to blow a ton more snow than they had last year, otherwise you'd just end up with short, steep landings. i could be wrong here, but i think a big push for the snow cat was to be able to properly groom the steeper sections of challene/razors so they can go slower and make the trail smoother. Yes. I would think using a winch cat would be tough for jumps because how would they anchor it? I'd think the winch cable would slice right through the jumps Quote
Justo8484 Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Yes. I would think using a winch cat would be tough for jumps because how would they anchor it? I'd think the winch cable would slice right through the jumps you attach the winch to a regular cat sitting on the landing of the jump. by being able to do that, you're also ensured that the landing is nice and wide, since you've gotta be able to fit a cat on either side of the lip to get it to the deck. Quote
TT C6 Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 like you're fucking contributing anything to this thread and I ride the park....I especially like tabletops and steps.. No. No, you don't ride park. I've seen you ski. Many people here have seen you ski. Let's just leave it at that. Quote
TT C6 Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 And you were impressed cause I'm a good skier. Keep telling yourself that Doug. Quote
toast21602 Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 how about you children both stop ruining a thread with your petty bickering, again. thanks. Quote
jhartley Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Damn dudes, I don't know either of you but it's a ski message board, it just ain't that serious. So if any of you have access to people who manage Blue's park, it'd be cool to know if they intend to put the new equipment to use or if it was bought solely for the steeper sections with no thought for the park's improvement. Exactly, though you don't always need a winch cat depending on how you do it. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Didn't know you could attach it to another groomer. Always thought they used a fixed anchor. Quote
mollyskeez Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 does anyone know if any reps from blue go on here? Quote
girls.ride.harder Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 does anyone know if any reps from blue go on here? I guess thats what I`d be considered? And airbag= not bullshit.
