Gurp Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 Can someone explain how bc park is. Like whats the set up and how big is everything. Quote
Schif Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 I'm pretty sure the website has a cool interactive park map. Quote
Schif Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 http://www.skibearcreek.com/ride/index.cfm Yep here it is. Quote
Glenn Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 I'm pretty sure the website has a cool interactive park map. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Apparently that is an outdated layout, they are "constantly" changing up their park. This comes from my roomate who rides there often. Quote
Papasteeze Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 Apparently that is an outdated layout, they are "constantly" changing up their park. This comes from my roomate who rides there often. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Without Steven doing the typing, I can't be real specific, but I can tell you this.. He absolutely loves that park better than anyother one he has been to.. I think he has had 12 different ones under his skis this year. He pulled his first 720's last night and is really pumped up to do it again Sunday. The interactive layout is inaccurate - but number of features looks to be pretty close. Quote
train36 Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 Thats awesome that he he landed those 720's. I met him on the lift last night, he really kills the park. Bears Park has a good variety of stuff. Off the top of my head, Jumps, probably about 8+ jumps ranging from big 40 ft, 30 ft , to some 15 and 20 ft., also some smaller ones and some step ups and a quarterpipe. The have a flat-down box, flat box, flat rail, big flat-down rail, down rail, nice wide straight rail, wide c- box, another not as wide c-box, long rainbow box, a few rainbow rails ranging in different sizes, two up-flat -down rails, a couple not that long straight rails, a couple mailbox rails one is real long, flat-down-flat rail, a triple A frame box they have set up as flat-down right now. Thats what I can remember from last night, I probably have left out some stuff, believe me you will not be dissapointed. Quote
tretiak Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 what about the dragontail rail that they have? Quote
Papasteeze Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 do they still have the wall up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's still there but needs some work, with the warm days the snow is piling up at the foot of it... Quote
flick Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 what about the dragontail rail that they have? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don' think they have a dragontail rail. I was there last weekend and they haven't had one all season; not really sure why they would put one out now. I'm going tomorrow night, I'll let you know. Quote
Glenn Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Perhaps they are talking about this one though, I think its called a J rail, or a tear drop rail. A dragon tail looks like this Quote
soldier32 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 what about the S rail? is that still up? Quote
Papasteeze Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 what about the S rail? is that still up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not really, it looked to be sitting off to the side of the trail. Quote
soldier32 Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 o man, looks like we're gonna have to dig it out and set it up ourselves Quote
Usercrm Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 look like you can get air off it haha *ideas that will probly end in failure and pain but sound fun too* Quote
Glenn Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 look like you can get air off it haha *ideas that will probly end in failure and pain but sound fun too* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Apparently its mounted the opposite way now, so its like a shotgun rail to the back side of a rainbow. Apparently its real easy to just miss the drop off if you want to. Quote
Papasteeze Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A classic picture - a pizza wedge in the park!! Quote
Nipples Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 The J rail is really called the smerf rail. It's at the bottom turned arourd the opposite way. There biggest jump is 45 feet to 50 kicker.Has anyone done the 3 foot gap onto the 30 foot kink rail. Quote
Gurp Posted March 18, 2005 Author Report Posted March 18, 2005 Im so used to seeing pizzas in the park it doesnt even phase me no more Quote
Glenn Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 I JUST TELL NO PIAZZAS IN THE PARK. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know, I hate it when pro baseball players roll into the park like they own it... Quote
