I would love to see a picture of this supposed monster jump, I've never seen a picture of a jump at Blue that looked 40'. Mountain Creek built a measured 65' jump last year and it was absolutely enormous and they knocked it down after about 2 weeks becuase no one could use it. It was definitely bigger than the last jump at Boulder.

it was about 3 or 4 winters ago that Blue had a jump that size... and i think it measured to about 62 feet. it wasn't very good, but it was big.

Having a jump over 45 at blue is absolutely pointless. 1. They don't know how to build it properly/have the resources for that and 2. Even if they did, it would be near impossible to get enough speed to hit it without dying.

Keystone's last jump of their big line was 65, and it was pretty huge. Keep in mind that was the LAST jump. They actually get into physics when building their jump line...and they put that at the bottom, after a 30 and 50. Just an idea for how much speed you need to clear a jump that big.

yeah i think it was 3 years ago. i learned 7s on that jump. 62 seems about right, although the 65 footer at boulder was a much 'bigger' jump, in that it actually had a real lip that put you into the air. blue's just didn't have much pop to it, which made it very easy to over/undershoot if your speed wasnt spot on. i'd be stoked on a nice floaty 45 footer in that spot instead.
