ole2planker Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 So is it raining in all the ski areas, or is some lucky area getting snow? Elk, maybe? Quote
AtomicSkier Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 So is it raining in all the ski areas, or is some lucky area getting snow? Elk, maybe? Ski999 said he was expecting 7 to 11 inches, and elk is north of him, so they should be gettin snow Quote
Glenn Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 We have a about 2 inches of VERY WET snow here in stroudsburg. It's still coming down pretty hard. Quote

Wolverine21 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 ya it's coming in scranton. i think i might be going up Camelback tomorrow so i hope the conditions are good up there. Quote
Schif Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 I heard elk is possibly getting up to 10 inches. Quote
Glenn Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Camelback says they could possibly get 8 inches. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe 8 inches of precipitation, but I doubt there will be that much accumulation, and even if there is, this stuff is very soggy. Definitely not ideal powder. Quote
skierboi Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 here in nj,by nyc, we have like 2 inches and it really heavy, this was suppose to be all rain Quote
ole2planker Posted March 23, 2005 Author Report Posted March 23, 2005 its been raining heavy ALL day there <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Where is there? Quote
skigurl Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 might get 8 inches???, well here's the update i've got 7 1/4 inches on my back deck, it's coming down like no tomorrow, almost 2 inches an hr Quote
Ski Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 It's crazy up here. We had to use a fire road entrance to get into our community because all the roads are closed because of crashes. I had to 4-wheel across a field at one point. We just have eight inches, but it's like nobody believed it was coming. I hiked for six runs at our ski hill, but have to figure out a lighting system when it's overcast---like a headlamp, I guess. Not much chance my soccer game isn't cancelled tomorrow at East Stroudsburg. Lots of hiking tomorrow, although Elk is getting tons of snow. Quote
Glenn Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 have to figure out a lighting system when it's overcast---like a headlamp, I guess.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My brother uses a biking headlamp on the slopes. It has an attachment that is meant to clip into a bike helmet but it works for his winter helmet as well. It runs off a battery pack he stuff in his book bag, and its re-chargable. It's much brighter than any type of hiking headlamp you will find. Quote
Ski Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Yeah, I was thinking of something like that. Skimom uses one for horseback riding. I just never thought I'd be night ski poaching. Why hasn't anyone used a driver and done laps at CB? And with headlamps and a car ride to the top, CB would be a great place to trespass for grass skiing. Meadows would probably be a great slope and easy escape access. Quote
pyro_boarder Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 From what I remember Meadows might have a fence or walkway and other useless crap from CB***h across it. Although I'm sure no one would mind if you ran over a tourist or two. At least I wouldn't. Other places would be nice for it though. Quote
Zonked Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Where is there? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> west chester Quote
