Johnny Law Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 What Western Resorts has BC had more snow than??? What are they up to...40 inches??? Â Clearly I wasn't being 100% serious though Keystone probably doesn't have much more of a base and I'm pretty Jackson didn't either when you were there. Quote
burton71 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 yeah ice is normally fast. Â fuck east coast night riding. and fuck shoveling for hours upon hours There was no ice last night at all. Quote
antman12 Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 Night sessions have been on point this year minus 2 or 3 nights. Quit bitching about ice and night riding and just fuckin ride. Not everybody has the luxury to ride during the day. To tell you the truth many night have been better then during the day, less crowds, good snow and hardly anybody in cascade many nights. Quote
mollyskeez Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 (edited) superman box = finally setup sick like last year. its way better with a gap on and doesnt get rutted as quick. the candycane is sick as ever. the lip on the first jump in cascade needs to be repushed after all the snow its got a super awkward transition. JibHonk Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 ehhh to the new superman setup... wish the box would be spun around and moved someplace else. conditions have been epic as of late, hopefully tonight keeps the trend going Quote
antman12 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 The new superman setup is waay better. And why doesnt the park crew touch the jump in cascade throughout the day? Its usually pretty chewed up by night. Quote
1337snowboarding Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 when is bear going to make snow again? it was really icy last night. Quote
Saurus Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 And why doesnt the park crew touch the jump in cascade throughout the day? Its usually pretty chewed up by night. we both know the answer to that Quote
BC-Mark Posted February 20, 2010 Author Report Posted February 20, 2010 We tried to make snow last night but our lowest wet bulb was 29F. We are trying again tonight, hopefully the forecast low actually materializes tonight but I am not holding out much hope since we are holding at 39F right now. Â Tom has a park build scheduled for Monday night and all day Tuesday. The plan right now is to do Black Bear on Monday night and have it open by mid-morning Tuesday. After Black Bear is finishes they will close Cascade and do a rebuild on it during the day. Quote

capitakilla Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Sick but as of now its suposed to rain/snow tom lets see some variation in the jumps, ex: step down, step up. Every jump is the same with the lip and landing at the same height Quote
1337snowboarding Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 i saw they changed some stuff up on black bear, is it going to stay that way or are you going to change it again? Quote

Every jump is the same with the lip and landing at the same height step downs can be the worst thing ever if theyre not built exactly right. so please, if you guys do build one make the landing steep and long. even boulder has flat landings on their stepdowns. skeer_tomas Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 We were planning on doing a pretty extensive build on Tuesday but right now it's looking like we could see some rain so we'll see how it pans out. I'll try to keep you guys updated as we figure out the plan. Quote
Humbleslc Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Both Parks were Top Notch This morning. Quote
methym Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 Parks were great today. I was there in the morning until noon and speed was an issue for hitting *all* the jumps in cascade jump line. And in the tubing line, I'd straight air off the 1st one to gain speed and I still cased the last big one. Did they make snow last night and that's why the snow was sticky? Quote
mollyskeez Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 today was amazing. i didnt have issues with speed i even over shot the first tubing and got the second one about mid way down the landing without trying super hard for speed. RAINBOW IS PERFECT. that is the perfect setup for a rainbow rail. lips off to the sides about mid way would be sick to sorta like disaster to the down part of it. flat down was sick, lip allowed for disasters and hitting it regular. up box is fun too. black bear really needed the face lift and that rail line was just the thing for it. HouseMuzik Posted February 22, 2010 Report Posted February 22, 2010 Was it really busy up there today? Was up at Blue.. Bear was a zoo Saturday... Quote

skeer_tomas Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 We decided against putting a huge new build on the parks druing the rain. For now it looks like we're going to try and put a few things out every couple of nights. Quote
