toast21602
Oh hello everybody. got up to Blue today and on the snow around 8:45. conditions were awesome. they blew snow on a lot of the mountain and the grooming was awesome once again. it seems like ever since that opening weekend they have gotten their act together and started to groom much better. i haven't had an issue with it since then. anyway. took a few pictures. met up with Chippy for a few hours, and then left sometime around 11:15 i think. i hate writing TR's, so i prefer to just show you photos of the place since thats more enjoyable than reading stupid TRs. so here are some pictures and the first video i took with the GoPro today. enjoy. sun starts peeking over the mountain first ride up. very few people out early today. empty corals for about the first hour i was up there. then chippy came with all the other philly people. the grooming was awesome, challenge was a ton of fun today. bumps on the left, great cord on the right. falls had a great little lip on it that you could launch halfway down so for me, this was the run of the day. there's chippy. oh, and the infamous 'one-legged-steeze' central park should be opening soon! yay. thats about it. i'm gonna try to post up the video of challenge. if that embedded video doesnt work, try this:
ColoradoHigh
sweet pics and video toast... any ways, I came up at about 9:30...the snow was great the entire time I was there which was until 12:30...it was warm, but windy at the top...the snow was pretty much perfect on all trails. The top of Razors was kind of chunky, but as Toast said it, it was the kind of chunky that the chunks are carvable...the run of the day for me was Mainstreet...especially the left side...perfect snow...I tried out Nightmare...i was completely unimpressed with it...it's not even a double black diamond...I have NO idea what the hell they were thinking when they tried to classify it...oh well... All in all, JADIP.

setagehtta
great video but I have to say it saved me from ever going to blue. It just looks...well...boring.
AtomicSkier
great video but I have to say it saved me from ever going to blue. It just looks...well...boring. LOL i think its just the camera...Camelback would look even worse from that perspective.
Justo8484
great video but I have to say it saved me from ever going to blue. It just looks...well...boring. the camera doesn't really make groomers look all too thrilling. i've noticed the same thing with mine. when it's on your head, regardless of how quick a turn you're making, when the terrain is consistent (groomed, not bumped up, with cliffs, trees, jumps, etc.) it all looks the same and looks like you're just skiing straight.
