RootDKJ
I had an interesting conversation with my boss today. He basically said he doesn't care if I work out of the lodge at Blue Mountain, so long as I get my work done. I'm thinking that I can use this to try to sneak in two nights a week (or at least start my 1 night a week sooner then 6pm). I need a solid wireless connection, power and a quite place to work, but not so quite where I can't talk on the phone. I'm on a lot of conference calls through out the day. Suggestions? AngryHugo
the Summit Lodge supposedly has wireless. during the week it shouldn't be horribly difficult to find a quiet corner somewhere.

I guess I should bring my laptop up there and test it this weekend. My only concern about the lodge is if I'm on a con-call with my bosses and some screaming kid starts making a racket. I pretty much need to be right in front of the laptop while on the phone.
AngryHugo
there's also a Starbucks in the Lehigh Valley Mall with wi-fi. or you could just hang at Doug's house.
mbike-ski
there's some starbucks/ panera bread places around just off 22 if thats what your looking for - would be about 20-25 minutes fromt the mountain. also wegmans at 33/248 and 22/512 - i've taken my laptop there before just to get out of the house to get some work done. the 512 one has a mezzanine level thats pretty empty in afternoon and evenings i'd find it tough to really get anything done in the lodge. hotel lobbies work too. i'd do the wegmans and a late lunch... AtomicSkier
Wegmans on 512 is legit up stairs. It's right off of 22. They have a great beer selection (single, 6packs, and 12packs) if you want something to drink with lunch

AtomicSkier
I know exactly where it is, I didn't know they had an upstairs. it's quite expansive...and would be empty mid day. it's empty during dinner, come to think of it. Would you drive there in the morning, work till the afternoon, and then head to blue?
RootDKJ
What about your car..seriously..for alot of travelling salespeople..the car doubles as an office.. That's always an option, say if we got a freak blizzard...but then I'd just call out small...cough cough. I have a Verizon Air Card, but it's just not that robust. I'm going to give Wegmans a try. Maybe there will be some quality milf scenery.

Switchsideskier.
The hot spot that Blue Mountain has is a PenTeleData Unleashed hotpot. It is not free, it is only free if you have a PTD account. I know you have Comcast so it would actually cost you $....as far as nice quiet places that you can get work done, The Palmerton Library in Palmerton is a great place to get work done and its only a 4 mile drive from the Valley, I use it a lot for business work.
