Ski Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 (edited) Hiked and skied at our hill this morning, then went back for a couple more runs and took a camera...still great coverage and any place in the Poconos could have been open today. Edited April 2, 2005 by ski999 Quote
LineSki Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 (edited) is that a jump in the second picture? Edited April 2, 2005 by LineSki Quote

romemadman Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 the second picture in the post with the areco snow guns shows that there is still a good amount of snow on the slopes it is a shame that most places closed ski have u figured how to get the lift running Quote

It's amazingly simple to run a lift...just climb up into the lower bullwheel housing and kick off the safety brake, then turn a key. And I can even make it run faster than they can. Quote
Schif Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Then steal the key and lets have another PASR day. Quote
Nipples Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Yeah I'am borded sitting here in front of the computer tiping this messeg at the beach house, Quote
bigdaddyk Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Dumb question, but how do you ski without getting caught or getting in trouble if they are closed? Quote
Glenn Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 It's a private hill for the residents of his community. I don't think the management cares. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Ski999 was skiing w/ the lift ON yesterday. So there is still lift-served skiing to be found in PA Quote

Ski Posted April 6, 2005 Author Report Posted April 6, 2005 Ha, no, I try to keep it low key. I just act like I belong there. The difference with our hill is that nodody is out to file a lawsuit, since we all own it. And they didn't turn it on for me, they were doing maintenance, then left it running while they worked elsewhere. Quote

Ski Posted April 6, 2005 Author Report Posted April 6, 2005 I've probably given 30 group lessons over the years when the ski school was overwhelmed and never even accepted a tip, so I figure they can look the other way. I did find almost four dollars in change under the lift today. Quote
skierboi Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 steeze just travel 6 hrs and go up north , still great skiing there Quote
