Barb Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) Beautiful day here at frost! Snowing pretty hard this morning but now the sun is shining and hardly any wind. After a few warm up runs down exhibition I went over to T-bolt. Top section had no bumps so as I am going full speed over the first headwall, I am surprised by bumps. AlMost took a header. I went down thunderbolt a bunch of times but I can't gewt the hand of the bumps. Guess they are not for me. My son who is in the race program comes in for lunch and proudly tells me they did the elevator and "it was awesome". Even his older brother was impressed since he has yet to try it. He said they are going on. Risk It in the pm session. And he won a bronze in the race last week but we bailed before they announced the winners. His coach gave him the medal and he's wearing it under his jacket "for luck" in his race today. He is one happy kid today. JADIP! Edited February 28, 2010 by Barb Quote

C1erArt Posted February 28, 2010 Report Posted February 28, 2010 Was out for a couple of hours this afternoon the the DW, son and his fiance. What a difference a day makes. Was around 40 this afternoon, and everything was like soft Sierra cement. Some nice wide spaced bumps on the headwalls, especially right side of tbolt and challenge. Was a little worried about how skiable things would be that late on the weekend, but all the slopes were in great shape, not torn up at all (didn't make it over to e mtn). Lifts were full right up to closing at 4pm. People having a good time trying to get down the slopes. Challenge glades were packed down solid, but not icy. I found them a lot easier to ski than yesterday morning. Would be nice if JF extended their hours until 4:30 or 5 in March. By my handy dandy Epic Ski iPhone Theodolite app, the sun was almost 20 degrees above the horizon when the red coats put up the orange ropes. Quote
