C1erArt Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Bright sunny, 27 at 8 am. Wind from the west so the east slopes are nice. Bumps gone from t bolt but otherwise same as Friday. People hitting the slopes early. Looks like a Challenge Tbolt day. Quote
C1erArt Posted March 6, 2010 Author Report Posted March 6, 2010 (edited) Turned out to be a great day, left about 1:30, it was 47 degrees, not a cloud in the sky all day. The wind coming up the hill limited your speed, so spent the day on the bumps and Challenge glade. The glade was really nice, except for the bottom near the race shack where people had walked all over it an punched holes in the snow, and boarders have carved huge ruts when the snow was soft earlier in the week, and then everything froze. Everyone must be doing other things - didn't see any PASRers. JF takes their development class seriously - waiting in line to go down Elevator. Just joking - they were enjoying the view. Didn't see anyone go down it when I was over there. A spring hint for those of us with receding hair lines - put some sunblock on your forehead before you open the vents on your helmet. Gonna look funny at work on Monday. Edited March 6, 2010 by C1er 1 Quote
Barb Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 They do take race kids down elevator. My son's group went down several times today, awesome! Quote
JFskiDan Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 lots of leftovers from friday. great show from the lift at times. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 (edited) I met JFDan just after opening and skied Frost until 10:30 or so. C1er we saw you coming off the East Mt. lift. We also ran into Barb. Conditions were fast in the morning. The wind did have a tendency to blow uphill and slow you down at times though. Floyd's is in all of it's bumped up glory and was so much fun to ski this morning. Bumped up Floyd's Folly = IMO. Challenge glade was also the run of the morning. The snow has definitely firmed up over the past few days but is still easy to edge for the most part. JADIP at Jackson Frost. Edited March 7, 2010 by PA Ridge Racer Quote
phillycore Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Holly, me and the three kids are heading up tomorrow (not sure if we're doing JF or BB though)... Hunter's first day ever, Holly's first time in almost 20 years, Zachary's 2nd day this year (4th ever) Should be interesting... Quote
C1erArt Posted March 7, 2010 Author Report Posted March 7, 2010 Hmm, kind of missed seeing everybody. Spent most of the morning on the baby bumps on exhibition. Have to check out elevator tomorrow if the race kids left anything on it. ;-) Quote
