RootDKJ Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 Is the Valley lodge closing just for this weekend or the season? Quote
sexkitten Posted March 11, 2010 Author Report Posted March 11, 2010 I was thinking the same thing. So weird that we had so much snow this year but it melted like a mother. I was thinking back and seem to remember Gaper Day being April 1st a few years ago. WTF? Quote

WTF? lots of natural snow, which means they didn't need to blow as much fake snow. natural snow melts much quicker. also i don't recall it closing in on 70 this early last year either. Quote
krs1pitt Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) It says for the weekend..based on how much rain we get I wouldn't be surprised if Blue closes down for the season after the weekend. but wait, i thought that only gapers question if one rain storm will end the ski season? Fear not the Camel's unofficial closing date weather permitting is April 3rd. I can see it happening, with most the terrain still open but I'm Stoweked anyways! 3 Quote
DiMe Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) Nice well I will likely ski there on the 27th...are you heading up to Vermont before the Stowe trip??? I might I'm torn, definitely if it snows. If I don't go somewhere before Stowe I'm likely going to go to Stowe early like check in mon or tues and do a 4 or 5 day ticket. Cadillac Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 (How the F can you guys have Gaper Day drinking and skiing escapades while parked in the upper lot?) It's not like security is worth a damn. I remember skiing the day the Steelers played the Seahawks in the Superbowl There was like fifty people tailgating in the parking lot in front of the sliding doors. I think a change of venue might do yous some good Quote
Schif Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 We can always gape at CB if blue isn't going to work out well. Quote
Schif Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 Elk didn't mind us drinking in the lot on Wednesday. Quote
DiMe Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) No drinking is allowed in the parking lot at Camelback....me and Dime got busted this past December and had to slum it at Barley Creek.... They haven't bothered me since then. I think that just because it was opening day in the main parking lot. Stevenson and Glenn parking is where its at Edited March 12, 2010 by DiMeThIcOnE Quote
DiMe Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 What about the Nick Malozzi parking lot??? I am unfamiliar Quote
