RootDKJ Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 (edited) Date(s) Skied: 3/18/10 Resort or Ski Area: Blue Mountain Conditions: Creamy Trip Report: What a gorgeous day to go skiing. It was 71*F when I left home and a very sunny 68*F when I arrived at Blue Mountain. I cracked open a beer and quickly booted up. Pulled my ear flaps out of my helmet and left my goggles in the car. Man did it feel soooo good to be skiing with a warm breeze on my face under sunny skies. There's a sink hole on Paradise and a few sketch spots here and there, but otherwise the base is holding up really well. At least 2-5 feet everywhere. Base depths Dreamweaver Razor's Edge The Big Air Bag has been moved over to Central Park The Hole on Paradise Sunset - I took these for Johnny Style who misses the sunsets at Blue while living the good life out in Aspen! Crescent Moon over Tut's Lane This was my last RAW at Blue this season, and probably the best one as well! Edited March 19, 2010 by RootDKJ 1 Quote

Johnny Style Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 Awesome sunset. Thanks. Blue can be somewhat special when the sun is setting and there is nobody on the slopes. Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 I guess that kinda answered my question... Coverage good enough that I can bring my mid-season gear, or should I go with the rock board for Saturday? Quote

Coverage good enough that I can bring my mid-season gear, or should I go with the rock board for Saturday? Went to CB the same day. I gotta say CB has a deeper base, but still both mountains are holding up very well. I was rocking a tshirt and shorts at camel yesterday. Got some funny comments, but man I was still warm! Saw some people with hats on and shit and I was like WTF! Quote

When I got to Blue, I parked next to two guys who were layering up. Two layers plus an insulated jacket. I was baffled. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Nice pics. They still got lots of snow there. Unfortunately I probably won't get over to Blue this season...I normally ski there at least once per season. Quote
