RidgeRacer Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 (edited) Not to threadjack, but I think the quality of music in general has deteriorated since the 90's. The 90's saw some of the greatest music / albums ever made. Those days are long gone. Do people even buy albums anymore? Edited June 26, 2010 by PA Ridge Racer Quote

Nope.... although itunes, zune marketplace, and amazon, etc.. do pretty good Quote
DiMe Posted June 27, 2010 Report Posted June 27, 2010 To be honest though i think rap / hip hop sucked anydays. Quote

Justo8484 Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 tp4, your credibility went down the hole with beamer benz or bentley, but you redeemed yourself with freeway. he just dropped a new album not too long ago. i'm too lazy to go dig up youtube videos, but sticking with the philly theme, here's a few current artists (all somewhat hip hop/rap oriented) that are from or have lived in philly that nobody mentioned thus far: santigold(was at the roots picnic last year and put on an awesome show, featured on a bonus track on jay-z's blueprint 3 album), diplo, spank rock, and jay electronica, who briefly lived in philly somewhat recently. Post up the REAL RAP that has fallen off the map and been replaced with CRAP... I personally cant stand listing to the songs you posted. I hate 90's rap. Its so bland and boring. And drake def has some awesome songs. Lil wayne although is played out KILLS so many tracks. Ice cream paint job? Wasted? Break up? Knuck if you buck? skys the limit? Lil waynes popular songs may be over played but he def has some good ones and always stright kills people on their own tracks. Em's been killin it lately though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vq6-fVLcfFc Quote

Justo8484 Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 tp4, and anyone else not in philly, is he getting radio play outside of philly at all? just wondering, cause he's pretty much 100.3's golden child right now, and i'm not sure if it cause he's friends with their DJs or if he is actually getting national radio play.
