zaldon Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Shit, that's almost snowmaking weather! 20 degrees cooler maybe... Quote
Switchsideskier. Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 I think we'd do a Saturday to Saturday trip...6 ski days. 7 is a little too much, especially when GSS hits the dance floor on night 6. If your lookin for anyone else I would be interested.. Quote
AngryHugo Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 If your lookin for anyone else I would be interested.. I invited one of my bike shop buddies to come along, but if he bails (which is VERY likely), you can have his spot. Quote
Switchsideskier. Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Ok sweet, got 3 weeks vacation next year, would like to have some fun! Quote
Switchsideskier. Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 It's looking like late January..possibly early February for J Heezy...I probably won't book till December or so..all PASRs are welcome..I'm guessing that people are going to be staying at a couple different spots..Atomic Jeff is talking somewhere posh on-mountain and I am good with the 49er in town...nightlife in town is alot better and lodging is cheaper than on mountain but the tradeoff is taking the bus in the morning..which I don't mind..as long as there's not a ski club from North Dakota with 60 people on the 8AM bus.. even though I just put my AC back on..my stoke level is rising..currently around 8.763 on thr stoke market... Awesome sweet! I know right...Can't wait for the colder weather to come. Quote
RootDKJ Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 The trees along 78 just don't look as green as they did a week ago. Quote
rgrwilco Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 i dont know if anyones been paying attention to killington, but they constructed upper mountain walkways off of the gondola into the north ridge area, so temps for snowmaking at the base aren't necessary to open http://www.killington.com/winter/beast/blog/authors/tom/early-season-insurance Quote
zaldon Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 eyewitness reports are saying that leaves are changing colors from the Poke N Hoes to Canada..last night I saw a guy wearing a hoodie..and this morning I was so excited for ski season that I forgot to turn my swagg on.. early fall colors due to dry conditions. hot dry summer = cold wet winter? Ride Delaware ? Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 That walkway seems like a cool but utterly ridiculous idea... Will the Blue Crew still make an early season trip with only 600' vertical available? Quote
RootDKJ Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I just can't figure out how they plan to keep people from skiing down/into it. Quote
RootDKJ Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 you mean below the mid mountain or the walkway? Highwaystar over on AZ must be happy On the walkway. You know the first time they get a dump, someone's gonna ski down that thing. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 That walkway seems like a cool but utterly ridiculous idea... Will the Blue Crew still make an early season trip with only 600' vertical available? Uh....that's really all we skied anyway. Only goobers went all the way back down to the base. Quote

Damn.... I will probably miss JH this year as those dates are not steezy. I was planning on Aspen in January, JH sometime in February (can only go around the 9th and later), Aspen in March. Boring I know but if JH doesn't workout maybe I will make a trip to CA or UT instead. I am sure the TR's will be EPIC with or without me. Quote

moe ghoul Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 J-Hole is in my sights this season, I don't think I'm taking any club trips out west this year, the selection is kinda meh. They have a trip planned to Aspen, but I ain't feelin it. I'd rather hit Silverton or Wolf Creek if I'm going to CO. Quote

PS: We should hang and down a few beers, if yer ever biking in Roxborough, stop in. the unofficial week is 1/30-2/6. It'll probably change 50 times before then, though.
