DiMe Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 looks like north poconos. I thought I seen the Sullivan lift in the distance. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 What mountain range is that? My guess based on my flighaware path ( http://flightaware.com/live/flight/USA657/history/20101006/1145Z/KPHL/KSFO ), I'm pretty sure I made a note that I was 2 hours out from SFO, so probably the SLC area. AtomicSkier Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 that flight goes nowhere near SLC I meant to say Utah, not SLC, but looking at the ATC communications, we were still with Denver center 2 hours out, so that may have been CO...I don't know. Quote
Shadows Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 i bet we could triangulate the position of satellites and use gps to coordinate the exact location of the air vessel at approximately 15 hundred hours into the projected flight pattern at which point this picture was taken using a telephoto lens then uploaded with an iphone while still in the cabin. Ride Delaware ? Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 Loveland seems to have started the guns up in earnest overnight. Sounds like temps in the mountains there are in the mid 40's during the day and mid 20s at night. Guns are shut off now, but I saw a webcam snapshot showing snowmaking all the way to the base this morning. Looks like our long range temps are starting to dip... Snowmaking in VT in 2 weeks? Quote
Dan- Posted October 8, 2010 Report Posted October 8, 2010 By looking at that flight path, it's probably somewhere in Southwestern CO. Also by looking at pictures from Silverton also taken on 10/6 it would make sense. Quote

Snowmaking in VT in 2 weeks? i think its really optimistic to be thinking anything in the north east will get going in october. i would like it to happen, but i guess only time will tell. long range forcasts always seem to be colder than actual temps. Ride Delaware ? Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 I was really just being optimistic... I'll be happy with Nov 1... Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted October 11, 2010 Author Report Posted October 11, 2010 Sunday River went all the way to the base yesterday morning... I know its still the early season marketing gimmick, but its really good for stoke!!! Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted October 19, 2010 Author Report Posted October 19, 2010 With K-Mart, SR, A Basin, and Loveland all making snow, and this October snow falling, I would say the snow has arrived... The best is yet to come!!! Quote
Ride Delaware ?
