Barb Posted October 23, 2010 Author Report Posted October 23, 2010 (edited) You might want to look at that map again No you look at the map again. My email says they will have "Catwalk, Mambo and Homerun" open. www.skiloveland.com/themountain/maps/south_view.aspx\ Edit: don't know why this is not clickable but those 3 runs are all green. jordan Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Loveland couldn't even beat Sunday River...pathetic! loveland doesn't have anywhere near the snowmaking capabilities of anywhere out east. And, even if they had the physical capacity, they are limited to the amount of water they are allowed to use per day. Water rights are a very touchy subject out here. plus its been hella warm. However, there is a winter storm watch for up to a foot sunday night into monday. Beat that sunday river! No you look at the map again. My email says they will have "Catwalk, Mambo and Homerun" open. www.skiloveland.com/themountain/maps/south_view.aspx\ Edit: don't know why this is not clickable but those 3 runs are all green. yeah its a green, but by no means a jack frost or big boulder green. there is some substance to it. First Grade Teacher Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 yeah its a green, but by no means a jack frost or big boulder green. there is some substance to it. Green trails at Loveland are the steepest greens in the world. Be careful! 1 Quote

trackbiker Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 " Email they sent me says top to bottom run off of chair 1. Trail map shows they are all greens " My mistake. I took you post to mean that all of the trails off of that lift were green. Actually that's the only green path you can take down from chair one. And like others have noted, it's still a fun run. Narrow and twisting at the top. Would be a blue anywhere in PA. Quote
jordan Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 i'm not normally one to post pictures of flat groomers, but since you asked: -Jordan 1 Quote
AtomicSkier Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 @ blue mountain too! nah...Blue has "Nightmare"...fckin scary! Quote
jordan Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 things are coming along nicely here in CO. Loveland has 2 chairs and a decent amount of terrain open (not only groomers anymore). Me and my friend mike also took a few laps on loveland pass today as well. I just hope the heat this coming week doesn't set us back too far. but it is still october! here is a pic from today in bounds at loveland. 1 Quote

Barb Posted November 2, 2010 Author Report Posted November 2, 2010 We went to Loveland today. Had a blast! Had to get used to no safety bars on the chairs. If the boys were younger I would be a nervous wreck. Quote

If the boys were younger I would be a nervous wreck. the way it was explained to me is that since statistically children are more likely to fall out of chairs with the safety bar down due to a false sense of security, loveland has chosen not to include bars on the lifts. you going to be around next weekend still? I would love to take some runs with you. Quote

I would love to take some runs with you. We are flying back on Friday. I think we are going back to Loveland Wed or Thurs. But I'm sure I would slow you down, I felt totally out of shape today and slower than usual. Pretty sure we are coming back for Christas break but you'll probably be home. Quote
