AtomicSkier Posted January 15, 2011 Author Report Posted January 15, 2011 I FaceTime'd with NSJay earlier...he gave me the tour of his place in Aspen...very nice. Looks like some fresh snow this AM on top of the 11" inches they received a day ago is skiing nice. Supposed to snow a lot in the next few days...good time to be in Aspen! I'm waiting for the report... Quote
Johnny Style Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 That guy is ripping. Look at that pitch. X-games is around the corner. There should be some pros in town practicing on Snowmass. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 15, 2011 Author Report Posted January 15, 2011 That guy is ripping. Look at that pitch. X-games is around the corner. There should be some pros in town practicing on Snowmass. That's not steep enough for Glenn... Quote

AtomicSkier Posted January 21, 2011 Author Report Posted January 21, 2011 From yesterday: Wednesday: If only Chris Davenport was a faster skier then JohnnyStyle... the cirque at snowmass...our best turns were in here.. Quote
NazarethSkier Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 I skied the cirque on Wednesday and I couldn't see a pole length ahead of me. I want to go back... Quote
NazarethSkier Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 (edited) Some Aspen Stoke from Tuesday. Originally GSS and Atomic were scheduled to go to Aspen during Gay Ski Week. Question: What if? Edited January 22, 2011 by NazarethSkier Quote
NazarethSkier Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Walsh's skiing well on Thursday - AJAX. I'm done posting for the day. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 22, 2011 Author Report Posted January 22, 2011 Walsh's skiing well on Thursday - AJAX. I'm done posting for the day. When JS and I skied that there were only 3 other tracks on it I want to go back! Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 22, 2011 Author Report Posted January 22, 2011 Every picture ever taken at Snowmass shows how empty the place is. I swore at times JS and I were the only one in the hanging valley. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Posted February 3, 2011 Wheels up to Aspen in 2 weeks 5 days... Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 For those who don't think hiking the bowl is worth it...I feel sorry for you. Best conditions of the year apparently. Quote
sibhusky Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 So, you're saying you hiked it? Pictures or it didn't happen. Quote
toast21602 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 pretty sure he did last year. Quote
Glenn Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) I like hiking, but thats a lot of vert (work) for featureless tracked powder. Edited February 10, 2011 by Glenn 1 Quote
sibhusky Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I like hiking, but thats a lot of vert (work) for featureless tracked powder. You like this better, Glenn? Lift served. Quote
Glenn Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Well it doesn't look as deep so I guess I would rather ride the aspen pic, but when considering the work, I would probably only ride the BM pic. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 I like hiking, but thats a lot of vert (work) for featureless tracked powder. No shit ...the goal would be to get it before it got like that. I know the only appeal of a powder day for you is hucking off rocks and cliffs, but skiing a 44 degree pitch with almost 2' untracked like they had in the bowl for today is pretty appealing to me.
