RootDKJ Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Nazareth Jay text me this.. Smallest pic ever. Quote
NazarethSkier Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Fun day at Snowmass. Ajeff needs to step it up with the trip reports...HaHa. He is staying at Jstyles and they are having internet issues. Note: We were skiing more than we were sitting. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 Yes! I am alive! Our internet has been restored. Give me some time, I'll get some pics and some details up. I need to catch up on some things first. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 hurray for the internet.. I always had the internet on my iPhone, but didn't have the motivation to write a TR via my phone. Quote
NazarethSkier Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Still snowing in town. Dinner and a movie tonight. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 JS is sleeping right now...maybe we'll goto the Woody Creek Tavern for dinner tonight. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 Here are some random shots... Day 1 @ Ajax...NSJay was in heaven. Day 2 @ Snowmass...NSJay enjoying 'Possible'. A narrow 40+ degree chute (pic makes it look flat/wide). Day 3 @ Snowmass...JohnnyStyle was very happy today. His first pow day of the year, and we certainly took advantage of some nice conditions below KT's/Cirque. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 NSjay just tweeted this pic of me...from Aspen Highlands today. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 This one was for GSS...We figured we'd find him in there taking a break? Quote
mbike-ski Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 nice! hey i see you guys are wearing packs - why? should i bring a small pack with me, like my hydration pack without the bladder Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 Because we were at Highlands, and hiking the Highlands Bowl is always an option. I don't want to carry my skis for 45 minutes on my shoulder. Quote
nick malozzi Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I just like to be light... HA! Quote
Glenn Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 The non-pr photos from both threads make Aspen look so much better than Jackson. Nice work in here Jeffy. Also your goggle color choice is terrible. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 The non-pr photos from both threads make Aspen look so much better than Jackson. Nice work in here Jeffy. Also your goggle color choice is terrible. They're "Neon Fire" Oakley Splices...they're supposed to be obnoxious, so I'll take that as a compliment Quote
Kyle Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Because we were at Highlands, and hiking the Highlands Bowl is always an option. I don't want to carry my skis for 45 minutes on my shoulder. Makes sense Quote
toast21602 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Goggles are gross. Pics are decent. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 Glenn u silly goose, u know nothing about skiing fashion. And you do? Quote
Glenn Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 They're "Neon Fire" Oakley Splices...they're supposed to be obnoxious, so I'll take that as a compliment Except the rest of your get up is not obnoxious so it doesn't fit. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 Jay skied at Ajax today, so Johnny and I went to Snowmass. I had a feeling things were going to be wind buffed, but wow, did it suck. We skied a few runs and were almost ready to call it a day when we saw the Hanging Valley Wall open. So, we hiked up to the top, and we found some decent snow. Rinse and repeat. I actually had some of the best turns I've ever had, not the deepest snow, but it was steep, smooth, and you could just rip huge turns down it. JADIP. Quote
Johnny Style Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Today was a pleasant surprise for sure. If it weren't for the gated terrain, today would have been pretty lousy. As it turned out, today was awesome as you can tell from the photos. They held the Colorado Freeride Championships today at Snowmass. Perhaps later I can post some of the photos they took of the comp. Quote
Johnny Style Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I've been silent hoping that Jeff or Jay would post some TRs, until then, these pictures will have to suffice. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted February 27, 2011 Author Report Posted February 27, 2011 Courtesy of the on mountain photographer... Quote
nick malozzi Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Nicely done jeff. Looks like I picked the wrong week to ride outside of Colorado. Still plenty of season left though. Quote
