Glenn Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 I really like this shot for some reason...sorry for posting yet another pic of the same rock at loveland me jumping off of Crack Rock 3/26/11: Is this lookers right of a lift right up the gut of the main bowl? Quote
jordan Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 No, this is in superbowl, way lookers left of the lift. The one you are referring to is called patrol rock (in Patrol Bowl), but it is long gone this time of year. Quote

sibhusky Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Filthy pirate hooker. That drop looks like stupid amounts of fun. Actually looks like windpack...I'm curious, did you "stick" the landing? (not sure what you would call it, my daughter used to be in gymnastics...) or did you do a somersault? Quote

(not sure what you would call it, my daughter used to be in gymnastics...) or did you do a somersault? yeah its a cornice. I will admit..i didn't stick it as well as I would have liked...but i didn't somersault either. Quote
sibhusky Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 I wasn't referring to the departure point, only the landing point. You can have cornices where the landing is fluff because they are on the lee of the ridge. Quote

I always wondered why it never snows on west facing aspects above treeline in Colorado! Quote

I always wondered why it never snows on west facing aspects above treeline in Colorado! My comment was directed at toast, not you. I talked about the landing and he was saying it was a windlip (no duh, I knew what the TAKEOFF was), which doesn't translate necessarily into windpack underneath, could be anything. Quote
