Some good news.  This appears to be the Democrats last hurrah as far as controlling the weather.  Hopefully this confirms. "colder than normal" and "winter preview" for like the week of Tday.  It would be spectacular if this came in a few days earlier.

I gave up on NHN a while ago. And have been using space heaters occasionally too. 

Doesn't really matter since I already lost, but do fireplaces count?

In my opinion, yes.  fireplaces make heat.  fairly inefficiently, but they make heat.

Mid 50's on average in the house.  Tough to get out of the shower or sit on a cold toilet seat in those temps.

House has good passive solar and is well insulated....so far the lowest recorded temp inside was 56...

You had me at passive solar!!  I was outside a little bit earlier and was 47 and that might me one of my favorite temps. You got this!!!

Nothing amazing but a good improvement over 80 degrees.

And an inch of rain for us , seems awkward cheering for rain. 
 

There’s lots of oils from cars imbedded in macadam that could float up with the rain so driving might be interesting at first. 
 

I regenerated my neutralizer on my water system at home a week ago and my well level went down quite a bit but recovered. 
None of my neighbors have had wells run dry so far. 
 

Hoping for a dusting at my place so I can ski some fast grass.
