Will BC open this year or will we have to wait until after the new year rolls around?

Forecast has really taken a turn for the better. Looks like things are more moderate this next week with winter weather setting in the week of Thanksgiving. I think you'll see lots of places opening on Root Friday in VT and ME if temps hold.

BC will prob open in January and Blue will be packed with BC skiers and riders. I hope they don't offer them free skiing like the one year it wasnt fair to the blue passholders. Was a good marketing ploy as many of them saw the light and the light was Blue.

Even though Blue opened last year on November 22 the valley lot didnt open until December 13th just an FYI

BB will be open. All they need are two sno-cone machines. One for the top, and one 50 feet down the hill at the base. Turn on for 30 minutes, groom, and they are open for business AND can sell sno-cones.

They posted a pic of the new snow machines that they invested in on their site.

The micro climate of lake Harmony looks cold enough.

I can't tell if you're serious... I hope not. Edited by RidgeRacer

The forecast has taken a turn for the much better. Instead of 7 straight days of 50 with a day of 60, we are now looking at every day in the mid 40s with some serious snowmaking opportunities starting in a week. Looking real good...

You guys are focused too much on science.

Its fall, it just rained and got rid of the leaves, and now we had a first substantial wind come through to blow the rest off.

Its ready for winter

What about the strongest El Niño in nearly two decades??? You have to get rid of leaves??? Thought you lived in an apartment.

Snowmaking will begin in Pennsylvania on the 23rd or 24th. You heard it here first. In the mean time grab a Pina colata and enjoy the low cost of heat.
