Others have commented they go to Shawnee as well. But clearly it is mostly a Blue crowd here and not many of you ski with kids.

 

Good place to go with young ones and also the quickest drive for me.

If im not mistaken, they are right around their 100 days.  no sense being open any longer than that.  Oh, but wait....if they close early, that wont be like Vermont at all.

I love a Shawnee day, but sadly I don't think that's gonna happen this season.

 

I've been there once. I think it was in April a few years ago for a morning session before a flight to Florida. I'm sure Doug will look into it. But, it was a lot of fun when I was there.

Long range forecast for precip looks terrible for next week. My gut says Blue will be open through Sunday, then closed for the week, reopening for next weekend and then calling it a season.

It was either skiing or getting a tattoo. Opted for the tattoo mainly to because of the wind.

Yes. Why is it funny? Actually just got it repaired. They cut through it when I had surgery last year. Got it fixed up basically.

At this point the forecast looks a bit better for Sunday than Saturday but pretty dismal for both days - for Blue as well as Poconos.

 

Looking at the forecast for rain Sat through Tues and then again for rain next weekend, I would not fault some ski areas in PA for calling a sooner end to the season.

 

Still hope to get out in PA again if it does not mean doing a Gene Kelley ("I'm skiing in the rain")
