Haha. I remember getting excited about the ski magazines with the new gear. It just made the season seem that much closer. I'm glad it's not ski season yet. My wrist should be completely healed by then. I was worried it would be more prone to breaking if I fell skiing this year, ortho assured me it would not.

Do you even need your wrist to ski?? If I had a broken arm I'd still ski.

It's. If august I can get excited for ski season now. I wonder if the ski mags are out yet. The old me would have already had Ski Skiing Snow Country and Powder mags in the mail by now..September issue was always gear then October was destinations.

If you're jonesing for gear reviews, PugSki has a whole section of review of 2018 skis.

Be fun to have a category devoted to sharing favorite ski/ride videos. I really like this one just for the sheer joyfulness of it:

I had a dream about skiing where I was in a rush to boot up opening day and did the first part of the run with boots unbuckled and couldn't get my heel fully in my boot. Luckily I'm the best skier on the mountain so was no issues but I missed a run waiting for atomic Jeff at the top of the Main Street chair.

A whole bunch of stuff is actually stronger, replacement acl's are definitely stronger though the attachment points I think are worse.

when i broke my wrist in high school the doctor gave me the OK to ride in a cast

With a hard cast your pretty golden........If you ride with in your jacket people will be super super nice because they think you only have one arm
