Holy shit; I had to reschedule a meeting in Truckee from Friday to Monday because of snow. I thought it was a little weird for them to cancel on account of snow. Just looked at the forecast, and there is up to FIVE FEET of snow predicted to fall in 48 hours in the High Sierra.

I'm bringing my boots and calling Sunday a good day to be Sally.

Will the temps allow for snowmaking? Would Blue make snow if they could?  Would be nice to salvage maybe another week of the season if possible.

I don't see any snowmaking temperatures. If blue can make snow they will. They have more base than last year at this time but the forecast isn't as good.

I've read 1 o 3 feet of snow by sunday....probably should pack the snorkels, lol.  we're staying at goldminers daughter, so we should be golden unless they impose interlodge (which I doubt that will happen). no, NMSKI and/or toast will not be in attendance.

Goldminer is good. If the canyon rd closes.....it could be pretty epic for you. So since its gonna snow, let me tell you where to go......

This is going to be a close one to watch. It could be all rain or a bunch of wet snow for Blue. The more north you go, the more likely there will be snow.

Thats pretty much it. I think im going to the cardboard classic at frost on friday. I may look into buying a ticket if they are selling them for $9.33. Not sure if they do for this one.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT
THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10
inches, with localized amounts up to 15 inches, are possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern New York.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night through late Friday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The precipitation will start as rain
Thursday evening, then change to snow late Thursday night,
continuing on Friday. The snow could mix with rain on Friday,
especially at lower elevations. Snow accumulations by late
Friday could be quite variable, with potential for around 6
inches of slushy snow at lower elevations, but over a foot
possible at elevations above 2000 feet. Plan on difficult
travel conditions, including during the morning commute on
  Friday.

You are set at goldminers. I’m a puruvian fan myself. Make sure you go to the bar at the puruvian - top 3 ski bar in North America. Truth.

Don’t know if you have been there or not but no where gets tracked out faster then Alta / Snowbird so be prepared. Far right (skiers perspective) at Catherine’s will hold on longest. If they open east castle then the effort will be worth it. Devils castle and lower woods will hold on for a while as well. After things get tracked out drop any line between high rustler to gunsight will be awesome. Be careful not to get cliffed out in eagles nest area.

Jelly, enjoy.

PS. If you got nothing bigger then RTMs then rent

I’m still trying to figure out timing for this, but you are welcome to carpool with me.  How early can you get here?
