She was a race coach the past two seasons and was a nature guide in the summer. Now, however, she is off to grad school.

so im reading up on this montclair dispensary stuff...

“Because every quack doctor on every corner is writing prescriptions for every person who says they’re sick and they have a headache and then they’re going into a medical marijuana shop to buy an illegal drug for recreational purposes,” Christie said. “I’m not going to permit that in this state.”

i cant beleive how stupid christie is.

anyway, lesson of life. all that stuff, great.

i have a felony charge with a misdemeanor conviction and cant find shit for a job so my only option is to get a Ph.d and be a ski bum. im ok with that though.

100K in debt? no problem.

yea i know everything about a real small subject and dont work for shit.

my back up/go to plan is driving a truck OTR but im still trying to find a company that hires criminals.

not really. but i guess.

you cant talk about all that unless you talk about [drug] politics. more importantly how terrible this country treats poor people.

i intially got arrested for being poor. no joke.

cities have "camping laws" so if youre sleeping on the street and a cop decides he wants to minamally advance his career by being a complete fuckin douchebag he can ticket you. if you dont pay the $100 ticket you get a warrant - and if youre homeless why the fuck would you want to give up 100 bucks, if you even have it. you have 2 weeks to pay before a warrant is issued. it is entirely possible to spange up 100 bucks in 2 weeks but why bother. if they decide to [strategically**] call you on the warrant you go to jail. most homeless/drunks/street peeps just go to jail and get free food and shelter for 3 days when they arrest you. so all in all its not that bad of a deal. its a citation really, no record. unless you have something else on you which the majority of street peeps do, cause poverty and drugs is relativlely unseprable sometimes - but thats another discussion.

it wasnt until after i got arrested that the nazi found something. hence the record. felony charge was dropped after i was in jail for 30 days. i was convicted of having a drug i didnt even possess just so the felony could be dropped. the actual conviction is "possession of prescription medication without a prescription." a misdemeanor.

Buprenorphine - aka subaxone. the hot new pharmaceutical to 'treat' opiate addiction.

if you must know, the plant i had on me and was charged with was psilocybin. which they threw a felony at me. now, when a background check comes back they see the charge and the conviction. so even if i wanst convicted of a felony it still shows up.

i also had less than half a gram of weed + bowl on me*** but they apparently didnt care about that. didnt show up on any record or charge or anything - i didnt have a red card either so if theyre really about mitagating (and to a lesser extent tracking ) drugs, what the fuck. they got the money shot with the psilocybin right? so what do they care about another 200 dollar charge. cost me 1500 bucks.

**strategically.

they waited 2 and a half weeks after the issue of the ticket to pull my card. cops know all the people on the street so its no chance encounter when they roll up and arrest you. i got picked up the day before i was going to finally start my full time job and get off the streets. it took me 3 months of being homeless to land a job. not bad but being homeless and trying to look presentable is hard enough. so i got lucky and got a job - full time. was starting my job on friday, got arrested on thursday.

if the whole point is to keep people off the streets, than arresting me for being homeless and making me unable to go to work is a little unproductive dont you think.

its the same with drug politics. you cant say you want to erradicate drug usage/distribution/crime etc while at the same time creating entire organizations and coporations that want to perpetuate it so they can stay in existance.

***weed + bowl on me.

after i was in jail for 30 days and went to court and all that, they released me. revolving door right? real productive use of authority and tax payer money.

so after i leave the jail and go down to get my belongings that were being held at a different location im back out on the street. all in all not any different of a situation than when i wgot arrested. aside from not having a job anymore. so back to square one right - which is the point. to keep poor people in jail.

anyway, i got my backpack and went downtown.

the next day the same nazi that arrested me rolls up and harrases me again. takes my bag and searches it after i said no and even tried pulling the bag away. we were off camera because he was walking around town - "on the beat"

what does he find? the bowl and weed which i neglected to even look for when i got released from jail. because...why the hell would they give someone they just release from jail, 'drugs' back. when i went to court i pleaded not guilty so i could even talk to a judge in the first place. if i pleaded guilty i wouldnt get to talk to a judge. 200 bucks right away. which is a decent 'decriminalized' system i agree. the only immediate problem with that is if you have a card and get a ticket - they dont have a list so if you want to plead not guilty because, you know, you have a card, you still have to wait weeks/months for a court date because the D.A doesnt dismiss cases like that - the judge does.

so i waited for a court date and tried to talk to the judge but he was just as fuckin stupid as the D.A who told me "im not dropping this case" after i presented her with the fact they released me from jail with the material theyre charging me with. so i got convicted of the citation which was 200 bucks, but they increased my probation from the psilocybin conviction.

so now im free again and probabtion was just ended a month ago. with a record, and still paying off the $1500 charge. all in alll i suppose i got 'lucky' with all this but in my opinion it shouldnt have happened in the first place. and not because i shouldve known better than to be involved in drugs or any of that responsible parent talk, but because these situations should never happen to anyone simply because some kid fresh out of law school and looking for something to do decides to get on the fast track to being a corrupt judge or politician.

theres plenty more but thats all i feel like dumping from my mind right now.

Shadows maybe getting your life in order and not schrooming in tents would be good for you. Going to jail over a $100 ticket is crazy. You can get a warrant for not paying speeding tickets. Time to grow up.

doug, did you even bother reading any of his post?

Also, as shadows stated, homeless people are easy arrests for cops. what person living on the street in freezing, wet temperatures is going to fight a small drug charge when they're going to get 3 hots and a cot? that is why re incarceration occurs so much. Criminal loses everything when he goes to jail, he gets released, can't get back on his feet and decides to rob the mini mart downtown in hopes that A.) he'll get some money out of it or B.) he'll go back to jail where he has a bed to sleep on, gets dental and healthcare for FREE, and gets three meals a day. As a criminal justice major i have confidence in saying that the criminal justice system is completely flawed. Does it work for some people? Yes is does but for a majority of people it does not. The statistic of repeat offenders committing crimes within 3 months of release is through the fucking roof. to most people going in and out of jail is a way of life. Shit, most people get released and commit another crime just to have a reason to stay.

I'm all for privatization and reduced government, but privatized prison systems isn't one of them. People should not be profiting off vitcimless crimes. This is why we have the biggest incarnation rates in the world.

Firstly, thank you for sharing Shadows. That took courage, something the condition does not possess, thus another of a long line of ignorant replies from him.

Please take this as the compliment it is meant to be...for a person who gives off the impression that he may be living under a bridge on any given day, your posts are intelligent, wise, and possess a quality of alternative thinking that I really enjoy. Keep 'em coming.

What was 30 days in jail like? I'd get bored in jail...I don't even like to wait in line at Kohls.

Oh trust me, you wouldn't be bored in jail, you would be passed around daily. There is nothing inmates like more than fat, white, rapping Jews. Except child abusers and rapists.

Wait so are we calling Doug the condition now ?

LOL

Can I be Gonorrhea ?

Re:Shadows

All I can say dude is keep your head up and that I hope shit gets good. People who have no knowledge of the police tend to see them as they are presented on tv. In reality they are a business, a business with very perverse incentives that inevitably leads to very strange actions in relation to certain crimes. They only kind of care about crime and even less about prevention of crime because its a business. Civil forfeiture just made all this shit worse because now they get to keep the $$$$.

I am the condition and Aspen 420 aka Johnny style is now Señor Passive Agressive. Was simpler when people just called me Tombstone.

My friend with a head full of acid staggered into a random persons home. He took off his clothes and when homeowner found him hid in bathroom and it took three cops with pellet guns to take him down. Now he's in the system. Alchohal testing, massive fines, divorce loss of custody...it sucks. Tough to ski deep powder with a house arrest ankle bracelet on.

woah is the adventures of an adolescent. what else can be said about human development?

all that can really be said is "cool story bro"

in a sense i went looking for experiences i always come to be involved in. although most of the time they are set in motion by environmental living situations - the height of which is surrounded around stable housing for my originating womb holder.

put the prefix socio, psych[o], nuero, or anthro in front if it, i want to learn it. so i do.

also, 'the condition' was a great subsequent invention of this topic. like european delivery. nicely done.

im not even going to comment on acid tom. its society braaaaahhh
