moe ghoul Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) for EC snow and grooming in this month's Ski mag. Blue got in again as well in a few categories, Lifts and park, iirc. Whiteface took second overall for EC skiing behind Tremblant. Edited November 17, 2010 by moeghoul 2 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 What ever happened to the PA results? They used to be ranked #1 like every year in Terrain/Conditions/Grooming... They still come out with those results? Or did they just get tired of seeing Elk at the top every year? Quote
sibhusky Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 They probably didn't pay SKI mag enough OR Elk had the surveys out to be filled out by people and they didn't. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Doesn't really matter to me... I love Elk either way... Place is straight ballin yo!!! I'm aiming to get 2-3 there this year... Significantly less than Moe's double digit quota lol Quote
Justin Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 everything ski mag has ever said is complete bullshit. I feel like every fucking issue is a top 10 issue Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Well yeah, but with PA, it would be easier to make some decent assumptions... My guess is Elk and Blue Knob are always dueling for it... Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Honestly, that would be really cool, considering CB also wants to do the same thing, but how much of a draw can a lodging and lift package be in NEPA? Most of the prices i have seen are comparable to the skillz or VT... Both of which are better and probably not much farther of a drive... Unless your primarily coming from Philly... Quote
Switchsideskier. Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 If they made Blue mountain into a resort with a hotel, condos and get that waterpark finished I could see them being top 3 in PA I drove down the dirt road where the water park is supposed to be "Located the other day and found absolutely nothing but a small cleared out area". But at the bottom of Blue Mountain drive, across the street from the Valley Lodge access road, there was a crew of blue employees cutting down trees, a surveyor, and a newly formed dirt road.. hmm Quote
