Switchsideskier. Posted November 29, 2010 Author Report Posted November 29, 2010 Where is it announced...I'd like to go if they can pull it off with this weeks weather. Are they charging $35 like opening day last year? You can actually get speed Marjies unlike Freedom at boulder just watch out for the whoop Dee dos. skicamelback.com no details at this moment. Quote
sibhusky Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 From their site: WE WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE SNOW AND SAVE WHAT'S BEEN MADE FOR A FANTASTIC OPENING WEEKEND THIS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2010. I can't believe you are opening the same day we are! The power of snowmaking! We have to wait for Ullr. Quote
RootDKJ Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 If Camelback isn't open Saturday, I'm going back to Belleayre. They will be open. Quote
RootDKJ Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I'm at my moms for dinner. Later tonight. Quote
Melissa Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I saw Camelback from 80 yesterday. Some snow blown, but did not seem like anything was covered. Of course, it is hard to see from the road. Quote

DiMe Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 yup. see ya there. probably Boulder saturday and Camel sunday. Sounds good, like I said earlier post I can't make it early on Saturday because of class. PASR day at Camel on Sunday would be perfect Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 No kidding... When I went with the crew to CB 2 years ago, I was "riding" solo... Quote
OutCold Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I think they can do it....lows wednesday thursday friday are 26, 24, 23 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 (edited) I agree... I'm sure this heavy r&*n will wash most of what they made away, but the temps should be able to cooperate for a weekend opening... I'm more worried about how boulder will hold up since they groomed it out and Jeff himself said that the base was adequate, but thin... Edited November 30, 2010 by Ride Delaware ? Quote
DiMe Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Boulder will just have to start over. I'm not confident that temps will be as low as forecasted Wednesday-Friday nights. Humidity looks higher than the last period meaning a higher wet bulb temp. I hope I'm wrong but it's gonna be close. Don't be a stoke stomper Dougie they will pull through and get it open for us only takes a few nights. I just hope the arch on my right foot feels better by the weekend all this walking around my building and the city is hurting my feets! Quote
DiMe Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I'm not being a stoke stomper I'm being a realist...I think Camelback has like a 60% shot at pulling it off. I give em an 85% chance snow at home snowmaking forecast is still looking good from wed on. Quote
Schif Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I'll be there Sunday if they're open. Quote
RootDKJ Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Temps look solid once this ncp storm passes tomorrow night. http://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Camelback-Ski-Area/6day/top Quote
Switchsideskier. Posted November 30, 2010 Author Report Posted November 30, 2010 (edited) Will be nice to finally meet a fellow PASR knuckle dragger ! I will be knuckle dragging at the camel this weekend since I got my new board. Edited November 30, 2010 by Switchsideskier. Quote
