Ski Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 While hiking my muddy pathway up to my oil coated final few runs of the PA season, it started to snow. It felt like winter for a little while. Quote
poconoceancity Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 I have a feeling that's the last of the flakes for this season...what a nice treat. Quote
Schif Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I just got rain, but my brother got hailed on while he was playing golf a few miles away. Quote
Ski Posted April 25, 2005 Author Report Posted April 25, 2005 The news said lawns were white around Dushore, which is NW of WB/Scranton; the same storm that's dumped a foot in MI and Ohio. They actually had blizzard warnings posted... Quote
skimom Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 We saw a few flakes on Sunday AM too, amidst the foliage trying to sprout. BTW, you could still make a few turns on most of the headwalls at CB, with rock skis. Wasted snow... Quote
NJSkiFamily Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 No snow here in NJ. Just rain but yesterday I was wearing full winter gear while watching my kids get a riding lesson. Michigan and Ohio got an amazing amount of snow considering how warm the ground must be. Quote
Ski Posted April 25, 2005 Author Report Posted April 25, 2005 It snowed during my baseball game at East Stroudsburg North today. Very cool. They complained like crazy. Quote

Snow is only beautiful when I can ride it. The season is over for me, bring on the warm weather and the scantily clothed women. Quote

poconoceancity Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 Having gone to school in western PA I to remeber those couple of weeks...Luckily I got to come home to OC and enjoy 4 great months. Quote

Snow is only beautiful when I can ride it. 25752[/snapback] But I can't seem to shake the nonsenisical hope that some stalled cold front will bring a return to winter and local ski areas will do the unthinkable...like that scene from Dumb and Dumber where she says he has a one in a million shot at being with her and he says, "Wow, so there's a chance!"
