Papasteeze
Straight from Jake at Bear Creek and their website, the jam has been cancelled: Due to the coming rain, THE RAIL JAM HAS BEEN CANCELLED. (Trust us, we're as dissapointed as you are!) We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on our slopes next winter. bummer 26008[/snapback] CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wrote the teachers notes about the boys having appointments and having to leave school early.. I scheduled work for saturday morning, I blew off a trip to Killington.. I think we should show up anyhow. Welcome to the board Romeo however, if you're going to give us bad news then your not welcome!! Just Kidding... THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP!! Does anyone know how they covered it? I have had straw covered frost from the winter still frozen at the end of May.. It's not that much rain they are calling for... I stand corrected........... Not that it matters either now but the webcam shows a really small pile of snow as of this afternoon. Crap... steezemachine was sleeping with helmet on last night thinking about this one.... lurker
Yeah I was a little disapointed too. I mean it is only a 50% chance. I guess we'll have to see if it really rains at all. Edited April 29, 2005 by lurker
flick
all i have to say is...who cancels anything BEFORE it rains? i checked the webcam and there is hardly any snow in the halfpipe or on the mountain. sounds like they're lying to cover their a$$. RomeOp
I was up there wednesday afternoon talking to jake (group sales) and the snow they were going to use was from the triple side. They only needed enough for a drop in and run out and they had it on that side. At that time everything was moving foward. I don't know what happened, I'll try to dig a little further with some people. But cancelling it without rain first though, I dunno.......
