owenskier Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 northampton and philly under winter storm watch. heading to massachusetts tomorrow, supposed to get 10 or more inches up there Quote
JFskiDan Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 i think the predicted amounts are on the conservative side. Quote
Shadows Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 glades are gonna be BLOWER on monday lol Quote
bluemt1988 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 6-12. Winter storm warning! Woahoo. Hope they don't blow it. Monday will be fun at blue. Quote
toast21602 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Bummer that I work on Monday. Oh well. It's only blue mountain. Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 They're saying 6-12" now for my area starting tomorrow into Monday..... Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Feeling more annoyed than stoked that I have to work on what may potentially be the first pow day of the season >:^/ Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 night skiing tomorrow could be legit if you brave the roads.. That it could but it's also one of the busiest weeks of the ski season so night time will prob be a shit show Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Flurrying right now maybe I'll get some pow for first trax tomorrow if it starts early. Quote
JFskiDan Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 I love the accuweather forums..... So much hype. Earlier there were people predicting 2" of precip with 15-18:1 ratios for the balto/Philly sector. I don't think we can count on 30-36" of snow out of this lol. yeah....tons of hype. Quote
toast21602 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 I might make a day out of it tomorrow Quote
ColoradoHigh Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 If i hadnt gone skiing the last week, I would deff. be skiing tomorrow... Quote
phillycore Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 I Really wish this storm would speed up some... At this point, I'm going to have to drive back home through the worst of it all. I have work early Monday am. and I need to be at Boulder for check in at 8am tomorrow (sun) and before that need to check in at JF. Can't miss work monday either so that really sucks... think it's going to be a LONG drive home tomorrow. The skiing better be spectacular. Quote

I hope it speeds up and we get some goods tomorrow. Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Do eagles games get cancelled if roads are impassable and public transport shutdown? You guys hoping for a faster storm are crazy. The slower the storm the more snow we get. Alot of businesses are gonna be shutdown Monday. Yes but unfortunately this has no benefit to us. NYC's 911 call & data center never closes which is the building I currently work in I want pow early morning tomorrow! I know it's not going to happen though and Monday night is going to be a shit show with the holiday week crowds. Those who can get out for opening on Monday will have the best of it me thinks. owenskier Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 yeah, very disappointed at the timing of the storm since my trip up to massachusetts will include no skiing at all, but still looking forward to watching the 15-20 inches they are supposed to get up there!! Just wish me the best of luck driving- leaving bethlehem at 7 and should get there by 1, so hopefully I will miss all of the snow on the roads. Blizzard up there Quote
OutCold Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 yeah....tons of hype. Not sure if that was sarcasm or not but you can't deny the hype over there. Quote
rgrwilco Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Cant wait to drive around for 5 hours at work tomorrow night! Quote
toast21602 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 not looking as good as expected. i work tomorrow. i hope it misses us. Quote
toast21602 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 snowing here in bethlehem. i have a christmas party to go to in whitehall and i might take my skis to head back up to them mountain after that depending on the weather. Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Blizzarding in NYC they're calling for 2 feet. Maybe the buses wont run into the city tomorrow..... looking at the radar it seems like almost half of the storm has missed us already traveling up the coast. Might have to bring my board into work for some urban runz! Edited December 26, 2010 by DiMe Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Ya, that's what I was looking at. Hoping the Port Authority gets clogged up with snow and the buses wont run in the morning or at least be very delayed. Just started snowing lightly in the Burg. Quote
DiMe Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) I think I may be getting sick *cough*cough* They already canceled this evenings buses pas 4pm out to the city....... thats a good sign for a morning delay or cancellation ! It's coming down at a good clip in the Burg and sticking fast! Edited December 26, 2010 by DiMe Quote
Kyle Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Got about half an inch in southern chester county (avondale) and people are already freaking out. Quote
