For everyone who complains about wind holds

Looks like the wind derailed the cable on one of the lifts sugarloaf in ME. Hope everyone is ok, but a great illustration of why we have wind holds sometimes.

Good reason to put the bar down. Won't always save you, but it would cut down on the likelihood a bit.

still though, wouldnt stops on the pulleys prevent that?

One would think so, and even if it was an old lift I would hope there was some kind of stops on the pulleys.

i dont really feel like looking at my ansi book right now. but yea, sheave catches wouldve prevented that. especially with a full lift.

No its true there is a study some where I remember posting it.....lots of kids slide out reaching for the bar.

fo sho. grabbin for the bar/putting it up is the only time youre not actually sitting down in a passive way.

its a fuckin chair, i have never fallen out of my place at dinner, isnt that hard
