sibhusky Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 (edited) Siblet's choice after comparing them all is the Volkls again. She said the guys seemed to prefer the Elans. Edited August 23, 2005 by sibhusky Quote
AtomicSkier Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 We all know what my and '999's money buys Quote

skimom Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Dude prefers ELANs for SL. Papa: I'm surprised that he had such problems - the demos at Mt Hood are all top line race skis - ranging from awesome to superawesome. He could take two pairs with him. Leave the second pair at the lodge, if he can't carry both up. Quote
Papasteeze Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Ah yes that makes sense, well, live and learn - hopefully he will remember some options for next camp season when trying out something different. I think I spoiled him this year, it wasn't unusual to switch 2 sometimes 3 times during the day - you know who ran for the ski to switch out. I think he said he was on a 150 GS ski - which is really heavy compared to his Volkyl 724's and in the slush, I can picture him having some trouble with them. Quote
sibhusky Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Siblet said the reps were jerks this year. It was so crowded they were just pushing whatever wasn't being used on people. Wanted one of the top FIS girls to demo some junior skis, same with some kid who was 6 foot 4. They didn't have the skis to cover the demand and were just acting like any ski would do. Quote

Papasteeze Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 Does any body remember this post? ONLY................... 21698130 seconds until winter Quote
skidude Posted July 2, 2005 Report Posted July 2, 2005 Ironically, Ridge said he lost a day training GS due to demo'ing a set of 150? Elans - he said he hated them..... Fell on every run.... all day long.. Isn't that interesting!! I wonder if the ski was just not right for the summer slush.. hmph... interesting.. 28325[/snapback] He fell on every run because he kept putting too much weight on his inside ski, the same way he fell every other run on every other pair of skis Quote
