Timeless Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Hi All, had a nice relaxing long weekend with the whole family at squaw. Rode there all three days thanks to a good condo/ ticket deal, just bouncing around the many peaks from KT, to Granite. Most of it was really nice considering there's been no snow for a week, they are still sat on 120+ inches at the peaks and at least at the higher elevations it's holding up really nicely with lots of long fast chalky groomers. Favourites were siberia, granite chief and the left side of KT22. Off the runs it was really too sketchy, I will even use the "with the kids" excuse but in reality they are just as happy off trail, it simply was too many skiers over it and not warm enough to soften it up even in the afternoons. Anyway, a great weekend with some highlights.... I highly recommend the village accomodations, waking up to this view late afternoon across the valley on the way to the lifts from siberia For those of you that have been on here long enough to remember this one being born, now we see here first day on ski's. She did really well in two mornings at ski school, then came to play with us a little in the afternoon, instructors comments... "she has really good balance, just not too good at the stopping part....." Quote
Barb Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Awesome last picture. I love seeing teeny tiny kids on skis. Way to start her early. Quote
