phillycore Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) WoW.... Blue outlasted Frost this season Edited March 16, 2011 by phillycore Quote
toast21602 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 and no pass holder party? wow. strange. Quote
phillycore Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Blue usually outlasts Frost. I don't remember a season when Frost stayed open later but alot of years they close the same date. Kind of sucks. They usually close the same day. Quote
Schif Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Didn't see this coming. I was planning on hitting Frost Saturday to kill the PA season. Quote
JFskiDan Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 WoW.... Blue outlasted Frost this season i knew i should have made that bet with you yesterday. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Kinda sad but it was a great season at Jackson Frost none the less. Quote
Kyle Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Kinda sudden? Or did they post something on the Internet a couple days before? Quote
phillycore Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 My skis, boots, and poles are at Frost as I planned on being there this weekend.... Looks like back to boulder for me... Maybe alien pass...doubt it though I'm Bringing icelantics to boulder, that'll be fun Quote
phillycore Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Haha... they're fun to bring out once a season though Quote
jordan Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 jack frost really has had quite a limited season since Peak took over. kinda lame really. before peak took over JF would generally stay open on weekends till the last weekend in march, I even remember some seasons where it went to the first weekend in April. Come on Peak..everyone knows JF>>>>>BB, whats the deal? Quote
phillycore Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Boulder has lights and kids will buy tickets to hit features Quote
jordan Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Jordan it's been warm and rainy for the past few weeks. They'd probably stay open later if it was more winterlike. i am sure they are not closing due to a lack of snow Quote
JFskiDan Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 i am sure they are not closing due to a lack of snow Ehhh....in my honest opinion the snow didnt come first at Frost this year. It certainly did at Boulder but not at frost. When we had the warm spell at the end of Feb, things were looking pretty bad that weekend, but then they got 8 inches the last monday of feb, and a few more inches like a week ago or so. had they not gotten that last 10" of snow, they wouldnt have been open last weekend. C1erArt Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) Was a great season though, the snow dumps helped out quite a bit. The webcam of One Park at Frost still looks mighty inviting. Edited March 17, 2011 by C1er Quote
JFskiDan Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Was a great season though, the snow dumps helped out quite a bit. The webcam of One Park at Frost still looks mighty inviting. i checked that out too...still snow in one park glade. Which Frost guys are going to Blue this weekend. i thought about that, but as you would say, the logistics dont work. i think i will use the alien pass at CB sat, make a few short runs at BB sun, then if next weekend is still in the cards, use the camelcard for some type of discount. if next weekend didnt work out for whatever reason, i would be kicking myself for not getting to camelback this weekend. RidgeRacer Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Which Frost guys are going to Blue this weekend. Skiing CB for free seems more enticing than a full price ticket to Blue. i checked that out too...still snow in one park glade. Quote
phillycore Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Hmmm......I'd probably hit up camelback on sat if I could get my gear from JF. That is if I don't get fubared at the wedding Fri night.... Quote
