Commence strangeness wow really?? 10" of new snow and crusty, that's some ripley's believe it or not shit there unless the 10" wasn't all snow. (freezing rain, hail, etc.. mixed in) Quote
ectobar Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 It was freezing rain when I arrived. Seemed like 6-8 " , but was a 2" crust with a spring mix underneath. Most features were unhittable. Sticking to the packed down trails was key. Had to rock the gangsta lean to survive the crust. Saw plenty of people myself included go over the handle bars and eat it, but the snow was soft so all was well. Visibility was brutal all night. Precip turned to fluff by the end and a nice layer of fresh was forming. Quote
