Margaritaville Skier Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Anybody get over to see this fiasco they built in the Meadowlands yet. Their website says they have a 800' slope for year-round skiing and riding serviced by a chairlift. Kinda short for skiing but it is an opportunitey to get some runs in in the heat of the summer. toast21602 Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 wasn't this supposed to open like 10 years ago? what a waste. Quote
RootDKJ Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 I can't wait for this place to open. It's 20 minutes from home/work. I'll be making turns during lunch in July. Hopefully they offer some sort of monthly/seasonal pass. Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Yeah, sucks you can't drink... I would need a pick me up after hitting that joint? I'd imagine that hunter is better than that now that it will have a six pack and hs quad? Quote
moe ghoul Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 American Dream Meadowlands (formerly Meadowlands Xanadu) $2.7 billion megamall project in East Rutherford, NJ including 700 foot indoor ski slope approved in May 2011 for $200 million in state tax breaks for new developer (Triple Five of Canada who owns 4.2 million square foot Mall of America in MN and 5.3 million square foot West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada). This 3 million square foot development which is expected to open phase 1 in fall 2013 and phase 2 in spring 2014 and serve 55 million visitors annually includes shops, restaurants, nightclubs, a 26-screen movie theater, a 3,000-seat performing arts theater, indoor glass-domed amusement and water parks, and a skating rink in addition to the indoor ski slope. I'll believe when I see it. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted October 3, 2011 Report Posted October 3, 2011 Its like a never ending carousel of owners claiming to open it... I'm surprised they even found somebody else to pick it up... I hope they can make it happen, but I also will believe it when I see it... Quote
