burton71 Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Any news on changes or new features for the 2011-2012 season? I haven't heard about much but the BC Ironworks facebook page has a couple posts about a new rail design and barrel bonks. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Next to nobody has announced any improvements for the 2011/2012 season as of yet... If there was a new lift or trails we would have heard of it through the permitting process, so as is usual in PA as of late, I'm sure there will be increased snowmaking, new rentals, some new rails, and maybe some minor infrastructure improvements... We probably wont see a list from resorts to start rolling out until late July to early August... Quote
burton71 Posted July 8, 2011 Author Report Posted July 8, 2011 I heard more double diamonds and more vert...either by digging a hole at the bottom or adding dirt to the top...also no more raceteam.. Don't forget heli access to the back bowls. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Don't forget heli access to the back bowls. Or early morning rides to the top in the snowcat... Quote
moe ghoul Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) I'm almost done building one of these. Edited July 11, 2011 by moeghoul 2 Quote
Saurus Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 After watching the session recaps from high cascade, I want every single one of those rails in our parks. I sketched up the one round down bar, similar to the candycane last season so I hope thomas makes it all happen! Also, I believe pass price will increase. If not it will definitely go up next year. Ride Delaware ? Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Also, I believe pass price will increase. If not it will definitely go up next year. As long as we have inflation the price will continue to increase... However, Bear Creek seems to be pretty fair in their pricing, so I think you guys are still winners... Quote
Kyle Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 As long as we have inflation the price will continue to increase... However, Bear Creek seems to be pretty fair in their pricing, so I think you guys are still winners... i hope youre talking about the discount price.... regular ticket prices are pretty steep. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 i hope youre talking about the discount price.... regular ticket prices are pretty steep. Yeah... I don't consider many daily prices to be fair unless they are discounted lol Quote
Kyle Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 Yeah... I don't consider many daily prices to be fair unless they are discounted lol thats what i figured. i was going to call you crazy if you think $60 extended day ticket for a place like bear creek is reasonable. Quote
Saurus Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 I was talking about season pass rates. I believe season pass rates will be going up this year like always. Im not sure bear creek will be able to raise daily pass prices, theyre already ridiculous. Quote
burton71 Posted September 8, 2011 Author Report Posted September 8, 2011 Just saw the new patio on the web cam. Looks damn nice. Quote
Kyle Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 i think its been mentioned before and its probably a little late now but it would be sick to see dfd candy cane type rail. Quote
mollyskeeze Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 i think its been mentioned before and its probably a little late now but it would be sick to see dfd candy cane type rail. WORD. definitely could be banged out before the season starts. Quote
Kyle Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 WORD. definitely could be banged out before the season starts. Its definitely do-able it just all comes down to resources. it would be sick to see in the park by mid/end of the season if at all. Quote
Winter Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 Prices for season passes and even daily tix are up, and if not for the proximity for weeknight skiing, I wouldn't be able to stomach the value. I prefer to sit in the lounge and drink a craft beer by the fire and watch the skiing/boarding, it's money better spent ;-) Quote
lysssaylor Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 any update on discounted season passes? Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 That's the thread pinned above this one lol, but it says not yet... Quote

Kyle Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 did i hear a rumor of a possible early season hike park? Quote
mollyskeeze Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 yepp on december 2nd when they have the waking winter party and the store grand opening there will be a hike park if weather permits. Quote
PASKIINGSUCKS Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 I'd be surprised if they can blow snow that early in december. I might come up for a beer from the ice bar though. Quote
Kyle Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 the temps are looking good starting tuesday night i believe. a hike park is do-able. honestly, if accuweather is correct then i can see bear being open by at least december 10th. im not counting my chickens yet though, just a prediction Quote
guitar73 Posted November 25, 2011 Report Posted November 25, 2011 @kyle....I sure hope you're right! bring it on Quote
