skitheEAST Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 there better be something new in the park for tomorrow or I'm going to freak. winter break is over and theres been basically one park set up for 2 weeks. YAY Quote
Kyle Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 there better be something new in the park for tomorrow or I'm going to freak. winter break is over and theres been basically one park set up for 2 weeks. YAY I highly doubt they're going.to do a new build. They haven't blown snow in almost a week and don't have a deep enough base to start moving things around. Unless Tom says otherwise don't expect s new build. Quote
Kyle Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 looks like theyre currently blowing snow on the webcams. taking advantage of the cold temps. Quote
skitheEAST Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 it doesn't take much snow to build the lip for a rail. they could at least change the setup with rails Quote
Kyle Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 Looks good, what were crowds like today? Non existent for the most part. Light crowd for a holiday Quote

YAY 2 weeks isnt very long. especially considering they just open and have way less snow down then they usually do. Quote
skitheEAST Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 no. it doesn't take multiple feet of snow to put some new rails in... Quote
burton71 Posted January 15, 2012 Author Report Posted January 15, 2012 no. it doesn't take multiple feet of snow to put some new rails in... It takes more snow than you think to move stuff around. I'd rather they continue to build a base and then do a complete rebuild later when they have more snow. 1 Quote
mollyskeeze Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 the crowds/gapers were horrendous today. i got snaked on litterally every feature one run. glad they got to blow all day though and should be able to though tonight as well. Quote

When I left at 11 the lots were really filling up.....The crowds were not bad in the early am...It was great seeing them pounding out the man made Quote

skitheEAST Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 you change one rail, for another. the first down rail, change it to a down box. the flat box, change it for a flat rail. everyone keeps saying oh let them wait, yada yada yada. its the third week in January, you can change some stuff up for pete's sake. Saurus Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 you do realize this is only the second week with a fully built park right? hey its the 3rd week in january! thats great, we didnt open until AFTER january 1st. no, he still has a point. it takes minimal effort and snow to change rails up. i've made my own setups at bear countless of times, sketchy, but it still counts. i haven't been up since last week because its pointless to ride the same shit when i have to drive an hour to get there :[ and my break ends this weekend Quote
mollyskeeze Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 i dont understand how one gets bored of an endless combination of rails. three rails wide three rails long theres so many lines you can take and an endless amount of tricks to do Quote

I've been up to BC almost everyday and still enjoy the setup. Quote
Kyle Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Everything is buried today. They pushed out the double hit kickers and made it one jump, not sure of the distance though I wanna say 20 to play it safe. The snow is piling up on cascade though. Huge whale where the cliff used to be. If anyone was there yesterday and saw the pile forming there it's about 3 times as big now. Hopefully the rain holds off tomorrow and they get some colder temps later in the week to blow some more on cascade. If they got another 2 or 3 nights of blowing on cascade I could see them building on it on the weekend or next week. Quote
guitar73 Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 when's sasquatch going to open up? does anyone know?? Quote
PASKIINGSUCKS Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 when's sasquatch going to open up? does anyone know?? Don't quote me on it, but it looks like sasquatch has gotten a lot of man made on it, I'd expect it to be open very soon. They were piling it up on cascade yesterday and I'm sure last night, word on the street was of a park build maybe some time this week. I'm sure tom will make an announcement when it goes down. Quote
Kyle Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 According to Buckmans FB they are 100% open!!! And blue isn't! Quote
Kyle Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Oh yeah, Sasquatch is open. Took one run down it today. Icy but if yOu pick a line toward the left of the trail looking down it wasn't bad at all. Quote
mollyskeeze Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 haha yeah i heard park build in the middle of the week. park was fun today. landings were suuuper slippery and rock hard. hopefully after a few nights of grooming after all this blowing the snow will really shape up well. cascades got a massive pile on it thats so fun to mess around on. Quote
mollyskeeze Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 i love the new bottom jump on blackbear. its perfect just needs a bit better landing. meaning the landing isnt smooth you can see where they made the different passes which makes holes and stuff later in the day. Quote
