So Squaw Valley will open on Wednesday and to celebrate this uniquely american holiday, me and the kids will be hitting Squaw and probably another as yet undefined resort on Thursday / Friday. Storms are all lined up for fresh snow on thursday, 6 days and counting......... wooooo hoooooo

Awesome..so British people don't celebrate Thanksgiving..weak

Yes, we celebrate having a day (or 2) off work to go skiing. I like turkey but I prefer snowboarding.

The years we spent in PA we would do the whole traditional feast with the exception of candied yams (surely only an american could have come up with that), but in the end it just seems like such a waste of a day getting fat and drunk.

When they used to be open here on Thanksgiving, we'd ski in the AM and make dinner when we got home. Not sure where your issue is, GSS.
