Freeski919 Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Well, I got day one in at Stowe. They were spinning the new Fourrunner Quad, and now they have a spiffy RFID system, which is way easier than pulling a pass out every run. Temps were mid 30's to start, and got up to upper 40's by noonish. They pretty much had two runs on the top two thirds of the mountain, which funneled into one run for the bottom third. Conditions were pretty spring like, with soft mashed potatoes that quickly formed up into some nice bump lines. All in all, a good day to be out there. Shiny new lift. Couple rails. Bumps on Centerline Bumps on Lord. 1 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Awesome!!! Love the pics... Can they hold out until Thursday when temps will drop? There's a little brown showing there on Lord... Quote
Freeski919 Posted November 27, 2011 Author Report Posted November 27, 2011 Yeah, there were a number of brown patches, but it was mostly in the troughs as the bumps developed. With less skier traffic during the weekdays, they should hold up, as long as the rain isn't too bad. Quote

Freeski919 Posted November 27, 2011 Author Report Posted November 27, 2011 Looks nice and not too crowded!!! Is the new quad faster? I bet it really boots you up there. I'm out of here!! Nah, it was pretty quiet, never had to wait in any kind of lift line. The actual speed of the new quad isn't any faster, so it's the same length ride up. But there are like 50 more chairs on the line as the old one, so the uphill capacity is way more... meaning when there's a lift line, it will move much quicker, making for an overall faster turnaround. 1 Quote
