Johnny Law Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 They are going to need some cold weather if they are going to make it past the 17th. Quote
toast21602 Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Both days. No rush to get there tomorrow unless the rain holds off. Just calling for am showers now so I'll be there for sure unless that changes. 1 Quote
IwantIceCream Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Sunday morning for me. I think. Depending on how next week's weather shakes out maybe a night ski Wednesday or Thursday. Quote
vinnyv11 Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Probably won't be able to make it until gaper day. Quote
Johnny Style Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Maybe Sunday, weather is the factor. Quote
Johnny Law Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Ya I'm thinking Blue might make closing day the 18th... ...the big thaw is looking more likely. So long as the base holds up, the spring skiing could be quite good. Fundamentally however, the pattern could not be much worse with the three major teleconnection indices aligning in a very unfavorable way. Even when the mild weather abates toward next weekend, a second round of very warm weather will be poised to make another big dent into the winter. I fucking hate this winter..... 3 Quote

toast21602 Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 i'm waking up at 630 and checking the radar. if its ugly i'll go to the gym, if its clearing i'll head up. or i'll just head up and drink in my car. Quote
zzslope Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 Possibly saturday for the mogul comp. Sunday for sure in the a.m. for the first chair mad dash. I was there today 12 - 3, the bumps on main were great, nice and soft. The bumps on nightmare were the same except for some large loose rocks in the right side line, but you could ski around them. They were getting the moguls ready on challenge for tomorrows comp. The rest of the trails were snow cone consistency, not bad at all. There were alot of boarders on sidewinder, they carved some big berms across the connector from lazy to the falls, and a huge one just above the falls, all from turning onto lower sidewinder. Quote
